Yeah...honestly I was not happy with the sound on this recording...I have had pretty good luck recently putting a presonus studio one channel strip preamp in the effects return loop of the Helix, and using the Helix for effects,..even better using two of these for both guitar and vocals, and using the Helix as a mini mixer. The PreSonus Studio Channel is the perfect way to step-up the quality of your recordings! This fully featured channel strip delivers a Class A tube microphone/instrument preamplifier, a variable VCA compressor, and a 3-band parametric EQ complete with VU metering - all at a ridiculously great price. If you're currently working on stock interface or mixer preamplifiers, you won't believe how incredible the same sources sound through the Studio Channel. Experience all that signature fat tube tone plus the full-on ability to tweak - the PreSonus Studio Channel's bound to become your "go-to" box!
@@bcooper123abc Gonna look into that for sure. I sometimes play thru a Rivera Sedona so, I like the tube tone on acoustic. But that amp is really heavy, so I don't often take it out.. Which is the very reason for the Helix also. I continue to struggle with getting a good amplified acoustic tone. Been playing for years. Blue Grass to CCR but my love is acoustic. Both my Martins have K&K and my Santa Cruz. The Rainsong is fishman equipped and my 810 has the expression 2. Using a Tone Dexter to add back the body or my TC Helicon Voicelive for the acoustic TC electronics body rez settings. One day its perfect, the next gig not so good. I can set it to sound great at home but when I turn it up for a proper gig volume, it looses texture and gets nasal sounding ...The search goes on... Thanks for the info....donhoganguitar.com
