Dave Goodlaxson, Nearer My God to Thee, Piano Solo

This tune was written by Lowell Mason in 1856. Legend has it that the orchestra on the RMS Titanic played the tune as the great ship was sinking, although this is hard to verify. The common words to this tune are "Nearer My God to Thee", although the tune is used for other words, such as "Wash Me O Lamb of God."
