- I asked an Ai to create a new guernsey design for all 18 AFL teams and the new Tassie team
Let’s see what it came up with…
Let me know which jumper design was your favourite in the comments below

these are insane. as a carlton supporter, im not usually a huge fan of a light blue jumper, but i do like the idea of having a little bit of it there
not the stripes though. they're overused. maybe a v?
The V is becoming overused also but I like the idea of Carlton using more light blue
@@mattn1 I think the V/chevrons are overused because of teams like freo and port because they are their main jumpers with no other logo. It provides a reason for freo to bring back the anchor and port to use a lightning bolt
@harvey.c The Port lightning bolt jumpers are so much better than the V
Carlton certainly could use a very light and dull blue. Not as bright as Sturt. But they'd then wear either light blue shorts or navy shorts. Obviously not white shorts.
@@harvey.c Power for sure should have a lightning bolt. Makes sense. Anchor for Freo, but needs to be implemented far better.. Interesting that the tri panel anchor jumper (used in heritage round this year) is getting quite popular with the Docker fans. Pity that they've made the purple and green quite dark. When I watched them later in the year, from a distance it looked a bit like Collingwood as in the shadows it looked almost black.
Mebourne is a great jumper for training and the fans. It would have to sell. The question is whether they'd want to wear it in a grand final if they had to. Red shorts excellent. We know red with blue always looks good. Have a look at West Perth's iconic red jumper with a blue sash. One of the best jumpers going around.
Hawks look more like Subiaco that wear maroon and gold stripes with maroon shorts. Back to the 80s and 90s. Actually about five years ago Subi had a combination of three designs on their jumper like this. They had stripes, a lion I think and an SFC. All three traditional strips rolled into one jumper. It was a bit messy like this. Look it up.
what type of videos are you planning on making in the off season? will you do a redesign of the new big bash jumpers or more cricket stuff?
Definitely planning to do a redesign of the Big Bash teams closer to the season
@@mattn1 I would like to see women jumpers reworked. So a jumper like the mens but with a difference. Also I'd like to see the Renegades change their name, so that could be food for thought. If you broadened into A League you'd broaden your attention. If you did EPL then there would be a massive increase. The other option is the IPL cricket shirts and Indian international kit. That may be too much attention.
So ai moved the suns to the Sunshine Coast
Maybe gold red and orange is the combination required for Suns. I'm not convinced that blue is ever required. I know Suns play around with grey merchandise. So you need to think about what gear their fans will be happy to buy. But red and gold the surf life saving colours are iconic. I'd almost go for the half red and half gold vertical panel look like the life savers. Anyway that's just an idea.
Saints one they could wear as a home strip. Especially when they're trying to reduce the red and white. The other possibility is an all red jumper with small white and black stripes with red shorts. I just don't like the cross thing they try to do. One of my favourite Saints one of all time was the red black and white striped jumper (in the Coll / NM style) that the G train used to wear around the 2000s. Red always looks good in a striped jumper, that's why so many EPL teams basically have the same red and white striped design.
I'm not a fan of the chevrons. Basically they are three arrows pointing to the bottom of the premiership ladder.
Orange shorts look sensational on the Giants. If you wore that then most times you wouldn't have to wear clash jumpers or even wear different coloured shorts. Against the Swans, then Sydney could go with a white back and Giants could keep the kit. I do think the Giants should be wearing a dark grey/charcoal rather than black.
AI drew Easton Wood in the eagles jumper
Go the mighty Dements!
Some of the designs may appeal to kids, especially the Essendon one. Use preseason or as training jumper as you say. I reckon it needs a water bomber at the front. You know the planes the dump (bomb) major bush fires with water. Using a water bomber avoids all the issues with links to war.
the links to war shouldnt be an issue, only the wokest of the woke believe so and they can get stuffed
Port's one looks like a superhero design. Too messy and you don't want to add yellow. That's something Peel Thunder should be wearing and trying to look less like EP and EF. Especially as they're a new team you'd think Peel would make more of an effort to look different.
The North one looked a bit Carlton
North's one looks like chinese lettering. I can't see that one getting over the line. But I must say a lot of these are a lot better than the indigenous ones.
Taz was good
As that Hawthorn supporter, I really don’t like that ai jumper It gave us
It’s like a weird Gold Coast/Hawthorn hybrid
as a geelong supporter the A.I did us dirty
Agreed 😂
Could you do a what if afl teams had city guernsey like the nba the guernsey would have something that represents their city or it could even have a different colour jumper
That could be interesting
@@mattn1 I have some ideas for some like the crows could have a outline of the St Paul’s cathedral on the jumper
@AFL_productions sounds good, I’ve always thought Gold Coast could do something with that city skyline, almost like a golden state warriors look
@@mattn1 that’s a good idea
Bulldogs one is certainly interesting. But unnecessary.
