You may enjoy the 2024 'PS2 PURGE SERIES', as we look as games in our existing PS2 collection through quick reviews of the games in each episodes. If they turn out to be more than just fodder they survive, otherwise they will be purged from the PS2 collection.

The ‘Gentleman of Games Way’ to build a free collection:
Step 1: Hunt down games anywhere you can find them, remember to check them to make sure they are all in good condition.
Step 2: Where possible use the CEX App to ensure you get more cash than what you are about to pay, otherwise use your skills and gaming knowledge to find the bargains.
Step 3: Use the CEX App to find out what cash value our High street overloads will give you for all your recently hunted games in total. Make sure CEX will give you more (or at least) the same cash that you spent on your newly found games before you get to the store.
Step 4: Remember to set aside the games you want to keep and enjoy for your own free games collection. Ensuring that the cash return of the other games going to CEX will cover what you spent on the games you are keeping, and that's the key to making the collection FREE.
Step 5: Walk into your local CEX, be kind and polite, and exchange your games for cash. If your bundle is worth more cash than what you spent you decide if you want; more cash for future hunts, or a voucher to buy any specific games you want in your collection.
Step 6: Rinse and repeat forever and ever to build and enjoy a gaming collection to keep you and your loved ones constantly entertained and enjoying gaming for the rest of your days.

The best thing I like about the One X is its backwards compatibility just by having the physical discs. I picked up the first three Splinter Cell games from the original Xbox for a couple of quid and I am currently part way through a playthrough of the entire series.
Oh nice splinter cell is a top series. Yeah I agree the backwards comparable element is another solid reason not to ignore the system 🤘

The xbone and xsx seem to be very cheap physically which is great for taking chances on games that would be passed at full price.
Occupation, that’s new to me. Set around the time I was born and in the area I currently live, I feel I owe to myself to check it out! I enjoy the genre too, thanks for another great vid!

Big fan of picking up games for Xbox one/X it is so affordable right now, everything about 40% cheaper than playstation

Greta vid mate love your content . I have gamepass as it came with my series x and I’ve played very few games on it . Mainly brotato. Never owned a Xbox one so was considering diving into that library now that 360 games have sky rocketed in price :)

As a lover of City sims and Sims in general I feel you on that project highrise haha Makes me feel boring whenever i try to explain what a games about! Tropico/Zeus Master of Olympus are 2 of my all time favourites Honourable mentions to Theme Hospital and Cleopatra - Love the idea on this btw so hoping for frequent updates! especially on the games you've yet to play.
I always start sims and give up when I get a job 🤣 tropico is great series, such a good twist on city builder formula, port royale series may interest you?? I'm going to look to do another xbox pass update soon as I get more 🤘

Exactly what I've done, got an Xbox one s 1tb for £60 over Xmas. Since then I've just been picking up games I see out and about I like the look of.

Love this idea mate, I’m usually someone who knows what I’m going into CeX for when I go but I think I’ll try your approach for a change next time. I’m more of a PS4 man from that generation and it’s a collection I’ve been neglecting for a while since I’ve been going for 360 too so this is definitely something I want to give a go myself. The xbox one is easily the most slept on system since the psp.. the psp way too easy install.. custom firmware.. xbox has gamepass..
Unlike systems like the wii u.. which has a smaller game library to attract the completionist collectors.. these have plenty of games waiting to be snagged up :)
People need to talk about this more :)
100% agree mate, great system not being given enough appreciation atm. So many great games at such a low price don't know what took me so long... missed out on PSP back in the day but can see the appeal now 🤘
Good idea mate I’ve recently realised I’m always scrolling through gamepass never installing I only have it for online play😅

Definitely a good approach to utilising voucher. It's there to be spent! I am guilty of neglecting physical Xbox but that's largely cause Xbox do smart delivery so it's usually the Xbox one version on disc and I opt for PS5 physical instead. Some solid games there, I've enjoyed the Alex kidd remake on the switch and I remember getting contra cause it was £6 on switch which is a fair price 🤣 awesome video
Love spending voucher on a game and then immediately playing it 👌 more xbox than playstation myself but got to get the ps exclusives. Alex Kidd is a great game, hard as hell but love playing it, got a key ring too... bonus 😅
Nice one mate,love this idea! Cancelled all my subscriptions just after Xmas,this gen in gaming is extremely poor (I’m finding it that way) so been going through backlog 😊 ps narco series is brilliant!!
Cheers mate, get through that backlog, I have been focusing on PS2 most this year so XB1 is a big graphic jump. Need to watch the series I know but xcom with cocaine... what a review 🤭
Got rid of my ps plus about 2 years ago, always felt no obligation to play something i hadn't purchased.
I've also taken the old school approach of front and back covers. Only thing i tend to do is check on how long to beat to see what length of game I'm getting myself into!

I loved Deus Ex. I just wish it didn't end abruptly, but it was a stealth game that truly tested me.
Crackdown 3 was decent, but 1 will always be the best. Great video idea and purchases all around!

I have my own gamepass too. But Im still occationally subscriber for GP too because from that I play brand new games, which I cant afford to buy. And I do actually play those of them I like. I have also figured out some great games through GP, which I later bought to my own collection.
Anyways, I have like hundreds xbox games from og xbox era to Series s/x era in my bought xbox game library, both digital and physical. Biggest collection I have for xbox360 and thats my favorite era of gaming.
and I bought all the games from big discounts over the years.
I'm with you on the 360 mate, easily the best co slle and generation for me, my collection is decent size and very cheap. Tge gamepass has a lot of merits especially the new release games, just for me I was not using it so made a change in direction. Thanks for watching and commenting 🤘

This is actually a sick idea. Great video mate. It’s a shame about the contra game being a bit naff some nice pickups. I wished my Xbox one collection was better.

Best way to pick a game, I'm lucky I get my game pass free with my phone contract so have the best of both worlds. Although admittedly I don't really use it haha, Some great games coming day one this year and next so it may be useful soon.
Well if it's freeware that's fair enough not to use that often that's a good way to get it. Don't get me wrong the game pass is great especially with day one games... but not for me right now

I'm a Xbox one/series X collector and it is very cheap at the moment however not so cheap when I'm trying a little subset of backwards compatible 360 games that are in Xbox one boxes 😂😂 also Microsoft rewards pays for my gamepass. I haven't bought it with real money for ages.
Oh yeah I know the ones you mean mate, not the most common to find, you must be playing a lot to get it through reward... love it 🤣👊
@@gentlemanofgames i have let it run out for now as my backlog is huge so want to play some of my physical games. But what I do I buy gamepass for a quid for a month when it offers me it then I use the Microsoft rewards to build it up as there is gamepass rewards as well as the daily bing searches etc and by the time the month is done I have enough for another month and I just keep doing that until I have enough for 3 months and just keep adding. Had it for 2 years before i let it run out and only paid a quid at the beginning 😂😂

I have been a Xbox collector for a long time now and when the game pass came out it has help to lower the price on games when they came out. So I have got a a lot shelf feelers as people like to call them but not only that when they leave the game pass I still have the physical discs. I think at the moment I’m sitting around 400 Xbox one games

I got an xbox one without game pass too. I mainly get exclusives but I don't have that many as I'm focusing on xbox 360 games I want before the shop closes. I love the idea of you making your gamepass and would love to see more and I might have to steal the idea from you😂 nice pickups as always🎉 I rarely look at reviews unless it's a game that I love😅 finally got my phat ps2 today, went to cex and saw an unboxed one!

Is this going to be a mini series? 'This is what I've added to Game Pass this month'. I've slowed up on building my own Netflix but one of the rules I had was you're only allowed to spend the amount of the subscription per month.

I'd like to recommend another one. Knowing how you enjoy your Fallout, I thought you would enjoy Waasteland 3. Similar premise, but combat is similar to the Xcom on the 360.

I'm not into the turn based games really, so a few of them are not for me.
Think I'm gonna have a look in mine to see what I can find, although I do use gamepass quite a bit.

I cancelled mine a while ago ben buddy, i dont use my xbox one much and like you said bud the games are so cheap to pick up we just aswel get the physical. Ive got strange brigade but its still sealed 🤦🤣

Glad your coming away from the sub services. I've done the same with playstation plus. don't get me wrong, it's good to try games your unsure of but with the cheap prices these days it makes sense to actually own the games. Forza is one recent example of delisted games that you don't own. Physical games are all that matters. Hence my crazy fetish for ps1 games.

I only get the gamepass when it's on offer or when a big game gets released on it. I'm tight and will only buy cheap games 😂. Much prefer to play on my PS3 anyway. Great way of looking at it though

I buy codes for it from 3rd party websites or from stores with discounts. There is ways.
I've already got my own gamepass on Xbox, with more games than the actual gamepass.

At an average of £4 a game I'd buy 3 games a month instead of game pass, especially if you want to build up your collection.

Yup. Best thing with Series consoles are the fast return facility to the games, backward compatibility and that downloading times are much faster than with older gen consoles.
Alltho, still my favorite console ever made is xbox360 E. Im still using it even if I have One and Series too

@@darrenhitchen247I remember a big hoo-har that it was on gamepass day one, then nothing so assumed it tanked. Not many games where the third is the best, they often flog it too much and screw up the series by game 3. I'll keep my expectations low for it 👍
