Lovely video! I was selling at this one. You are right about the visibility of the crates of games on the bigger retail stalls. They are too hard to see everything on offer, especially when it's crowded. We keep our treasures spread out like a jumble sale then everyone gets a good view of something they may love and otherwise have missed.

Understand the treasures at the back make them stand out and protect them makes perfect sense, just the double up boxes so hard to even see let alone reach 😂 hope you would agree a bigger venue is required, the hobbies it too big now to be held there (even had a spare room not used I failed to mention 🙄) thanks for watching 🤘
I bought 2 DS games for £22 from one stall, one for 19, one for 3, and I thought about negotiating down to 20 but it was so packed that I just decided to pay the 22. I even had to step back from the table to get my money out, the guy probably thought I was gonna walk off with them for a second 😅 It would’ve been cool to meet you, I did meet retro ghetto though!
It was difficult to navigate when trying to buy, a stranger helped me get my bag round to get my wallet out at one point...bless him 😁 hope you were happy with the price paid, he wouldn't have been able to get too you if you did 😂 next time please do say hello, hope RG was nice 🤘

A lot of stuff was overpriced when I got there later and none of the sellers were willing to negotiate either. Say what you want about Cex but they have good prices and you can check the condition of the discs before purchase too. I got Resident Evil 3 at my local Cex for £35 at the fair they were asking for £40/50.
I'm very pro CEX over here mate and I don't care what people say, they are not perfect but they are a reliable option. Oh glad you got it for a good price in the end, similar wanted doom on PS1, £25 minimum there, no negotiation at all... £18 CEX, I'll just go there 🤘

First 20-30 minutes were bliss, quick whip round to scope out anything interesting, then the carnage began :D most prices I found were 5-10% plus cex/ebay, couple of vendors happy to haggle if you bundled a few items. One thing I did notice is some vendors priced on ebay/cex regardless of quality, you can find a game absolutely battered game case priced at top end cex, noticed that a few times. Other than that definitely a bigger venue needed!
Hard to argue the venue was up to scratch, glad you got to enjoy the early bliss too 😉 yeah 5%-10% is a better explanation really most stuff I was looking at was about £5 to that's a more accurate description and agree with quality, mega drive 2 boxes proved that point to me too mate 🤘 hope enjoyed it though 👍
Cex definitely definitely set the prices that a lot of traders follow these days. They still dont stock a lot of PS1 games which surprised me. I would have thougt they would have widened their range to carry more.
Oh they definitely do, no room for debate in my mind, consern is if they don't do something to compete on price independents will be gone in a few years. Yeah I have a few on the fodder pile I could do with them taking 😂 cheers for watching 🤘

This was my first gaming market and i totally agree about the size of the venue. Prices for the most part were a little high however, there were a few stands that had fair prices.

This was my first retro gaming market and it was great in terms of the things there but omg even getting there early it was so unbelievably packed it was very overwhelming i did pick up a boxed heartgold with a special sleeve which i was looking for but had to leave after like 30 mins as literally couldnt get to the stalls hope they can get a bigger venue next year people were nice as well

This is why I don't go to conventions that much anymore. I get that I can see the game in person and it's a fun day out. However, when the prices are like that. I'd rather be at home on the sofa buying stuff online. Also with Vinted at the moment some of the prices are crazy cheap.
Vinted is becoming a great place to pick up games isn't it. Yeah after a while being there though this is fun and great to speak to people but the buying side isn't the best, would go again but for the trip out rather than high intent to buy, cheers for watching mate 🤘
Some cool additions! I’ve not actually played The Suffering before but it looks like something I’d be into. I’ll try and keep an eye open in cex for it and check it out! The mega drive you picked up is in amazing condition, to get all the inserts too is icing on the cake! Glad to see that you’ve finally got it in your hands and clearly very chuffed with it 🎉
So chuffed with it had to just bite the bullet and get it 👌 oh mate if into horror it's great, atmosphere and game play is great... it's cheap too for a PS2/Xbox horror game 🤘
This was my first gaming market and I was an early bird Ticket holder I was shocked that even for us early birds, there was such a huge queue and it got packed so quickly You are so right though about the politeness though no one barged or anything I’m a smaller person so I did find scoping games difficult, but the vendors were helpful My partner who accompanied me certainly appreciated the Pokémon cards

Nice pick ups. Especially that boxed MD2! Price will only keep going up on those. You mentioned fodder, definitely agree. 2 years ago I last went, great titles every stall. This year pretty poor. It’s like the traders keep the good stuff for their stores(if they have them). I only picked up 4 games, compared to 12 last time I was there. So I didn’t enjoy it, far too many people. Couldn’t look through the stalls properly. Think I spent more time next door in NQ64, an thank god for that place as it would have felt like a wasted trip otherwise. I picked up Spot Goes to Hollywood and Sonic Spinball on Megadrive, Cold Fear on PS2 and Alien Trilogy on Saturn.
Agree mate the space and layout makes it too hard to look and move comfortably, puts you off. The selection just didnt seem to be there this year, maybe for others. Next door was good glad you went in 👍 cold fear... great pick up, not talked about enough, make sure get your brightness setting right for it on TV 😂🤘
