Yeah, I was pretty surprised to say the least! I was one of the last interviews that day and I was actually in the middle of writing my thank you emails to everyone!

Hey Vic! When you say "be careful filling in anything" on Caspa, does this mean that the grades and the courses that I have filled in along with healthcare experience information, would all of them get deleted if I am not applying this cycle? Do you suggest saving everything on a document and transfer it over onto Caspa when I do plan on applying that specific cycle?
    Great Video :)

Hi there! From my understanding of it, some of the information carries over because you have the option to “copy application data” from one cycle to the next. I absolutely suggest saving everything in Google docs just in case! Here’s a resource you can check out from CASPA: help.liaisonedu.com/CASPA_Applicant_Help_Center/Starting_Your_CASPA_Application/Creating_and_Managing_Your_CASPA_Account/3_Use_an_Existing_CASPA_Account_to_Re-Apply :)

Thanks for the tips ! I’m currently a freshman in college hoping to become a pa and I was wondering when you apply to pa school if you want to go straight out of college ? Would it be your senior year ?

The PA application opens in the spring (end of April) and then interviews are during the following year. So if you don’t want a gap year the you’ll want to apply spring/summer of your junior year! But honestly, there’s a huge advantage to taking 1-2 gap years, and sometimes it’s necessary for getting those patient care hours! I’m getting ready to send my applications soon!

“Following year” meaning school year (fall/winter)

Yes, I agree with Meg! The later half of your junior year will be when you want to apply if you are going straight out of college- however, there are benefits in taking a year or two off in between (that’s what I did!). Feel free to PM me as it gets closer & if you have any more specific questions :) good luck to you!
