    Holy poo poo!
The 1st third of the prophecy of the Heroes video has come true.
All that is left is the 2nd greatest FE Game: Super Smash Bros Melee. And the best FE Game: POKEMON CONQUEST FOR THE NINTEDO DS/PC

    Great video.
I've been playing FEH since its launch, and have it to thank for getting me more interested in the series. I'm not as invested as I was early on in the game's life, but I still make the effort to play every so often.
I think one reason I tend to find myself preferring FEH over other gacha games, is how the menus are laid out. It is simple and much easier to understand compared to other gacha games like Genshin Impact or Punishing Gray Raven, for example.
Thinking about when you mentioned Reinhardt and the player base thinking that he was a playable character in Thracia, this game has probably been responsible for introducing so many players to these previously Japan-only characters. If the player base had not been introduced to these characters through FEH, there probably would not be as much of a push from fans for Jugdral remakes/localizations.
Lastly, I just enjoy the idea of building a team comprised of many characters from throughout the series and finding new favorites. For example, I can tell you that I would probably not care about Oboro as much if not for her being my first +10 character that I built from scratch, or that Ephraim being my first ever 5-star character played a huge part in my learning about his story and becoming one of my favorite lord characters in the series.
All of this to say, that I still enjoy this game and can understand where you're coming from. Everything you mentioned is a valid criticism. Being a free-to-play mobile game, it is most definitely designed to get people to spend money. I tend not to engage in PVP very often because of the pay-to-win aspect that comes along with it. I also agree that the stories leave much to be desired. It has some moments, but those are few and far between.
But, I cannot overstate how important this game was for getting me more invested in the series and its many characters.
    (Sorry for the essay)

I'm of firm belief Live Service games are designed to make you feel awful.
