I watched your video and changed my own cv joint after watching your video. I just want to say it really helped you were right on the money brother. Thanks again you saved me lots of cash great video well made.
That was a really excellent video. I need to do this soon (just discovered the CV in my Pathy is gone) and I couldn't think of a better instructional for how to do it. Thank you so much!

The strut clamp bolts will come out or install easier when the holes are lined up. He shows here all the misalignment is lined up quite easily with the floor Jack manipulating the knuckle this way or that way.
My axle did not protrude far enough past the hub to get the locking ring on. I tried tapping, pounding, changing angles, everything. And yes, they are TRQ parts.
How come nobody ever re-greases the needle bearing inside the knuckle??.. That's what the axle shaft is spinning on... It's so easy to do it , when the axle is out.... It also has 200,000 miles on it...... unless you've installed manual locking hubs, those front shafts are spinning all the time while driving...
A mechanic replaced the LF strut assembly on mine. When I got the car back it clunked on the way home. And now the axle is completely separated. The mechanic denied doing anything wrong but there were no noises or anything before I took it there. I know this vid is about replacing the axle, but would you know if there is any chance a CV can be damaged or pop out while replacing a strut?
Just did this repair as my pathfinder has a slight vibration when driving but only at around 60km/h and it also has a slight knocking sound when you roll forward slowly from a stop and don’t give it any throttle. The new CV axles made it quieter but the noise and vibration is still there. Could I be looking at a potential issue in my front differential? Maybe transfer case? I’ve ordered oil for both of them and I’ll be giving them both fresh oil, hoping that solves my problem but besides wheel bearings I’m not sure where else to look. Any advice?
How difficult is it to remove the ABS ring on the R50 axles? I accidentally ordered axles without the ring and my R50 has ABS. Hoping I can swap them easily.
I currently have 3 days to pull this off I'm gonna have to do each side and each CV shaft cost $118 if you shop around, labour your looking around just under 300 depending on the mechanic but I might try do this with my dad
I have a torn cv boot on a 97 I just bought. New cv axle on passenger side with torn boot less than 10k miles on it. Called Nissan and quoted me 700 just to replace the boot, I know you have to take it all apart anyways. 700 seems way too steep for the amount of labor it takes. I’m not a mechanic but it doesn’t seem like it should cost that much. Am I right or wrong?
can someone tell me what the 6 bolts are that connect the axle to the diff? One of the 6 broke and I need to replace. Any ideas to where i can buy this bolt?
Ok so I have a 02 Nissan pathfinder rear wheel drive. I ordered this same part. But when i took the wheel off it looks nothing like how it looks in the video. There was no cv joint on it at all. Is the pathfinder in the video a 4x4?
+Peter Mendoza The part in this video fits your application, and the install should be the same or similar. Buy this part on 1AAuto.com: 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
Anything looks easy when you have an edit button. Don't be fooled people you have to disconnect a lot more than je tells you, I was a fool and now the job is much bigger than it should have been if he would have been up front and honest to what all needs to be disconnected.
Im sitting here with my car apart. Neither those 12 mm upper bolts nor will the nuts on thos big bolt budge. Ive used lubricant then heat and nothing. plus i rounded one of those big nuts. My life is shit anyhow so im not actually expecting a response
DIY guys beware!! Its not just these guys, its other videos too. See the way those nuts came loose right away? That is BS. None of them say anything about the problems you can run into performing this repair. Im in the middle of it now. I had no other option and now its a way bigger problem. If you damage any of the bolts or nuts they are potentially hard to get. I'll learn my fate tomorrow. Vehicle or no Vehicle. Till then I'm dead in the water. I wish this was the only challenge I was under. Maybe i wouldn't feel so bad. Be careful out there.

Beautiful work! It's also a perfect time to replace the struts!

Awesome video! Made my project very simple.

Excelent job !

After retightening , the six bolts, when car lift it up in the air at 33ln. would I be required to do it again when full suspension is on the ground.
Would this application instructions work also on a 95 hardbody v6 ? Cant find any other videos for the trucks.
Just did this repair as my pathfinder has a slight vibration when driving but only at around 60km/h and it also has a slight knocking sound when you roll forward slowly from a stop and don’t give it any throttle. Any idea why gear oil would come out at the differential side when I remove the axle from it? That looks like it should all be sealed
What size O-ring on the bearing?
How difficult is it to remove the ABS ring on the R50 axles? I accidentally ordered axles without the ring and my R50 has ABS. Hoping I can swap them easily.
Excellent video
Do we know what the bolt size is for the rear mating surface ? I snapped one of them off 😢
Great video! Thanks for making this.
Hello I own a nissan terrano 1 from 1990 is that the change of gimbal is the same as that of the video? Thank you
Wouldn't it be advantageous to replace the bearings also?
What is a fair price I should expect for this type of work from a mechanic? How much for parts and how much for labor? Thanks!

Bom tarde você sabe min dizer quando dentis tem o eixo da trizeta da Nissan patfaider 1999 motor V6 3.3
Anybody know what size and with of the snap ring
Excellent video thankyou
What about the bearing?
3:31 axle nut hidden behind cap.

dude cv axles are only in the front why did you need to change yours if you dont any?
Is this the same process for a 95 pathfinder?
