      Well I mean, as much as I want to agree with you on emotion...
      Objectively speaking your statement is a bit delusional.
      Maybe amongst fighters, the quiet one is the dangerous one and even then it's quite debatable.
      Otherwise it's just ridiculous, how is a tame emotional disposition relevant to being a threatening fighter? If anything I would argue quite the opposite in general.
      As a general trend, someone vocal about violence will be more capable to execute said violence.
      You are just being deluded by underdog movies and culture.
      For each underdog being the real deal in real life, you have probably 10.000 losers incapable of violence, who just want to stay away from it out of fear, not out of temperance and stoic restraint.
      I am not making an apology towards unnecessary violence or anything, nor should any man be hasty to violence.
      But come on, this underdog fantasy is quite dangerous.
      Stop making this fake equivalence between emotional temperance and martial prowess, it's just plain non-sensical.

  • @gymguy25
    @gymguy25 Месяц назад +31

    I started noticing this when I was a very young kid and it never changed, every one who tries to start crap for no reason (anyone you would call a bully, basically), needs about 3 or 4 guys with him to start crap with one guy, unless the one guy is half his size. Maybe they'll pick on someone their own size one on one if they have a gun or a knife or something. When I understood that bullying was an attempt to look tough, I understood why you never see anyone who actually is tough doing it.

Him: acts like a complete choirboy in an obvious attempt to make me feel bad about wanting to beat him up over the time he insulted me 4 on 1. My brain: yup, that’s exactly what I thought!

    • @kgkg4118
      @kgkg4118 Месяц назад

      I have to disagree....some bullies really are tough...these are the guys that figured out they can use violence to get their way. Not every bully is a soft guy thats bluffing. In fact, i think those kind of bullies are extinct after elementary school. You can only bluff for so long, guys who are bullying ppl as adults are usually willing to back it up. But the average person won't usually come across many of those types unless they're into something illegal

    • @gymguy25
      @gymguy25 Месяц назад +1

      Something happened when I was 9 that caused me to realize I was about 3 times stronger than the average boy my age, I was just born that way. At about 12, I got in a fight with an average guy (average size & strength) and I dropped him in one punch, about a year later, I got into a fight with a guy who was known for being a good fighter, pretty tough, took me about 20-30 sec to wipe the floor with him, knowing this, how scared do you think I was of any one of the bullies who came after me in my life? One on one, I knew I could have taken any one of them easily but they never attacked one on one, apart from the guy who threw a bottle at my head from behind when I never saw it coming at 21, every other bully who ever came after me had a big gang of guys backing him up (unless he was hiding behind a computer screen). Every time it would happen, I’d wait to catch one of them by himself and planned to take him apart, but when I ran into them by themselves, they act so nice they make me feel bad about wanting to beat them up and I guarantee you that’s exactly what his plan was.

    Good call on the cauliflower ear. I got a small bit of cauliflower ear as a 17 year old from ripping my head out of a bull dog choke and then was kneed directly in the same ear at 36 and it blew up. Now it's permanently cauliflowered and I'm not a fighter

    These are 3 great tips inside a couple of minutes. If I can piggyback on the 2nd tip about spacing. Take a look at their footwork. Their feet can tell you what the rest of their body and their hands might not tell you. For example, my particular stance would be a dead giveaway. With that being said, some are quite subtle, but if you're looking for it, you'll catch the adjustment that they make to their stance. Great video!

    Seems mostly gym, bar, or martial arts training or fighting. Those who have killed in combat, or in civilian life, no matter their age, can tell who’s able to hurt or kill. We can see it in each other’s eyes, demeanor. There’s a calmness, from experience and it’s written all over the faces of those who have taken lives…..especially those who have done it many times!

    Look out for anyone who grew up with a handful of brothers. They will have had a lot of practice at grappling and submission. Their moves will be instinctive muscle memory. Don't piss them off. Don't fight. Keep your teeth and eyeballs, avoid permanent brain damage and missing teeth. Keep your dignity and leave others in peace.
    Don't mistake quivering and shaking for fear. It might just be an overload of adrenalin waiting to be triggered.
    Don't blink. The explosion will be quick and uncompromising if you are the aggressor pushing a good person too far.

    If you have stiff ears, you’re more likely to get cauliflower ear. If your ears are flimsy and can be bent in all ways, then you are less likely. My dad and uncle played rugby for 30 years, one has caulis, the other doesn’t.

    #3 - They’ll give you every opportunity to back down.

    Some dude living in an apartment under me kicked popeyes chicken into my yard. I wasn’t having it.
    I went to the guy and told him you left your food in my yard and put the chicken to his face.
    His friend showed up. The chicken eater then told me that I'm in his space and he'll beat me up in front of my wife (waiting in the car) if I get any closer. I stood there for a couple of seconds, smiled, walked away, and drove off.
    Not saying I would win the fight but the dude threatened my dad's life because he was told not to smoke and drink out front of his property, so I take it personally. I do have experience in boxing. Not professional but 2-3 years experience.

    Another telltale sign of a trained fighter- his/her footwork. You gave the example of stepping back to give him/herself space. In so doing, s/he will move his/her front foot first- then his/her rear foot.
    Same concept with lateral/diagonal movement. The opposite foot will move first. The idea behind this is s/he is staying balanced. Moving the rear foot or same foot when moving laterally or diagonally will affect his/her balance.

    The first rule of fighting, is look in someone's eyes. If there eyes look dead, they have seen either combat or death, or they are just a loony tune. I have seen people's eyes change colour which sounds really weird, but one old guy he has blue eyes, and I pissed him off and his eyes changed. I have seen other people and you look in their eyes, and they are just dead souls.

    1 they remain very calm when noticing that a fight might break out
    2 try to avoid fighting in a calm and assertive way
    3 when you actually fight them, theyll defeat you, but without unnecessary violence afterwards when your knocked out or beaten into submission.
    Though, some people who know how to fight can also be bad people and misuse their experience and knowledge. Though most real fighters follow the upper 3 rules
