- Jeremy Williams of the GCAPCoolCast.com training team brings you another R-717 Video tip of the day. Today we talk about oil separation in Reciprocating Compressors!
Now this is what I'm talking about. Maintenance friendly Oil Sep. Thanks for sharing
great content and good to see you again.
Good job
Thank you
what's the smallest compressor available?
The only reason why a seperator would fill with ammonia or refrigerant is due to a failed discharge check valve that should be located directly after the seperator.
Hi, for some reason our ammonia compressors lubricating oil is heavily Contaminated as a result when suction pressure is increased icing begins to form below pistons bulkhead, morning we drained lot of oil from oil separator while the compressor was running ever since problem started, any ideas? ty
How can I go from residential HVAC to ammonia ?
You cant
Sir what is suction and discharge pressure of R717? Plz
Suction pressure and discharge depends on the plant design pressures.
cool content, love getting to see the Ammonia side of refrig, not much content out there for it.
Question.. Would installing multiple oil separators in series benefit a system??
No. The oil separators have coalescing filters in them that stop the flow of all the oil, adding more would really not do much beyond what they're designed for.
It would affect velocity of gas as well
Open compressor??
Hey this sistem is 25 years old
