@EpicCommentTime - Aww. I wouldn't say I'm big :) Thanks for the encouragement & kind words; it means a lot. p.s. - EMJ wouldn't be here w/o my loyal viewers, thx.
The chocolate used to decorate the faces (outside of the curry pan which was regular chocolate sauce since its fried not baked) is simple chocolate cookie dough. They’ll shape it and then lightly press or roll it into the bread dough before baking... I took a Japanese pastry course in Kobe. ^^
I love you so much. It is very refreshing to see a you tuber that doesn't swear or make rude jokes make it big on RUclips. Have fun with what you do Emmy, because it is certainly fun for us to watch. :)
i remember watching anpanman when i was little! my grandma was from japan so her relatives sent us videos of anpanman! i never knew they were made as real pastries but seeing these brought back so many memories :] now i'm hungry
I love watching these videos! They make me want to go to japan! I was taking to my math/science/chemistry teacher/ coach (who has visited japan and speaks a little Japanese) about the Japanese candies and such I have seen in your videos! After awhile he said wow you seem to know a lot and a said only what Emmy's taught me! Lol apparently you are an awesome and very entertaining culture teacher of some sort. haha
i love watching your videos, you are the most beautiful thing and you are really bringing out the japansese candy/food coulture, witch I think is sooo interesting :D keep up the good work!
OMG, are you immortal? I just watched a video from last week, and this one is like seven years old, you have *not* aged at *all* tell us your secret..PLZZZ
No, it actually comes from Portuguese (pan). There was quite a bit of Portuguese and Spanish influence in that area of the world. The word for "slacks" comes from French, though; 「ズポン」(jupon).
The word actually comes from Portuguese. Although both the Portuguese and the French word for "bread" share the same Latin roots. But it was introduced into Japanese by Portuguese missionaries :)
anpanman reminds me of some of the bean buns we have at the asian market here. they're really good (when you're able to get there before they sell out)
Hahaha whenever you'd cut them I thought you would eat the smaller piece, but then I was always caught off guard when you'd bite into the bigger slice ^-^
Can you make a video on chocolate cornets? Like the ones from the Kracie kit? I really would like to see one and your review on it. I love watching your "Whatcha Eating?" videos 😃
Wow i really learn a lot with you! Have you ever considered doing a basic japanese language video/videos, i think people would love them :) btw i love your videos, keep up the good work

@MsCraftyCourtney - It depends. In this case I saved them for later, but for the candy videos I sometimes toss what's left.
I remember watching this video when I lived in my first apartment. Oh I miss those easy times.

7 years makes a big difference
@lilcraftateer - Japanese curry's a little sweet so a that little bit of chocolate was nice.

They use egg white so the things get baked darker ;). I use this trick at home too :)
Japanese adopted the word "pan" from Spanish. We, Portuguese, usually say "pão", and the speech are a bit different. Hope you understand =)
