I have literally written an ea like this. Set SL for 700 and TP for 550. Run on hourly. Also add in condition of trading only above or below the 200 SMA.
this isnt a strategy its just an indicator, anybody that believes this is a good video that has any value really has a lot to learn about trading strategies, part 2 is necessary to start adding rules and other indicators alongside the dmi to make this into a strategy

I started using the 15M ADX. it worked well. I went to higher charts. use five hour ADX until hourly ADX changes. or try using hourly ADX until 15M ADX changes. use two to bounce off of each other. follow one ADX until the chart under it changes the ADX.

When the HMA 3 crosses up on the HMA 7 I watch closely and/or take a starter position, when it crosses both the HMA 7 AND the EMA 9, I'm long with confidence. I do the opposite for exit strategies, although I usually scale out on the way up. I'm a scalper for now and this strategy seems to work well for me on equities/stocks. EMA 21 is my definite SL and over VWAP and the 200 EMA is usually a bullish sentiment and under is a bearish sentiment but those are just my safety nets.

@@TradingStrategyTesting I use it only on scalping stocks, quick $25-$200 profit scalps. It works well, my issues is chasing after the lotto/home run/whale and then I lose all my scalping profits. Just plain dumb and greedy but I'm getting more disciplined.
The custom made indicator on TV I use is called ‘stoch rsi dmi plus’ it has horizontal levels on it to customize and I remove a lot of the other noise, (stoch and rsi)
Love all your Backtesting videos pls make part 2 with 200 EMA as filter for for long & short trade + RSI above 60 for long & below 40 for short on hourly time frame.

Have a generic SL lvl is not smart as the swing highs and swing lows are always different, which should also change your lot size, allowing for proper risk management. Also the daily TF would make for pretty large stop losses cutting the lot size drastically.

This strategy is a bit overoptimized, it could be used as a swing trading setup but it's important to consider other factors such as consecutive losses, profit factor and z-score...

Saying something has a 90 plus percentage win rate is by itself, meaningless. You can have that and still have an expert adviser that loses money if it loses 10 times on average of what it wins. I get annoyed by promoters of expert advisors or strategies who talk about win rate without saying anything else
I would like to see if you could backtest a strategy for me please. When I go back and look at the it, it seems to be pretty profitable, but it is manually doing it and I want to see if you would get same results. Thanks.
We only changed the settings mentioned in the video, the other options are kept as per the default figures. PS: this indicator is only made for demo purposes, it's not developed to be used in with real trading accounts.

Thanks for the video. Your back testing method is very flawed. You have to back test on the times you trade. The most active FX market is the London session followed by the NY session. Asia is a more quite session on FX.
Too much horse shit in the forex world. But it was an interesting video. I sort of like the idea of a fixed risk reward. It is easy to backtest, but I have seen it is obviously not the most profitable way. One has to let those winners run.

I use ADX, on Heikin Ashi candlesticks price charts. ADX together with EMA (7/20/50/100) and Parabolic SAR. For the last 30 years.

This indicator heavily lags especially on smaller time frames but where it really shines is picking reversals using divergence !

Consider and compare using EM100 instead of EMA200.
RSI should be 25 and 75, to eliminate false/weak signals.
