Congrats on #50 Boyd. Thanks for build #20. One of the most satisfying purchases I've ever made in my life. Your Enterprise is boldly patrolling the skies up here in Canada.
I absolutely love this version of the ole gal! I'm especially impressed with the shuttle bay. Superb! The only thing I would change is returning the impulse engines to red. You are truly a master model maker.
I have been watching your recent vids on the TOS 1:350 in preparation to begin my own build. I wanted to thank you for you recommendations for using HDA for supplies. I just received my order yesterday and was very happy with the quality of his decal sheets and masks. Kudos to you both.
You do the best work on these TOS 1:350 Enterprise kits. I love all the little differences on these for your customer. I've got a model kit and light kit from polar lights. Been nervous to build it for so long but I need to just do it and let it be what it becomes. Anyway, awesome vid Sir.
Awesome #50 Boyd you should sign them on the inside just behind the deflector dish with the # and maybe send out a special sticker for the ones already built. I think that your models will be collectable some day!!
Congrats Boyd on your 50th build. It turned out looking superb! Enjoy the Eagle build, I think the biggest issue with that kit is cleaning up all the frame structure seam lines. A scraper tool is ideal to tackle them.
Boyd 2 thumbs up awesome work love the TOS ENTERPRISE 350 scale one day. I will get around to building my 350 looking forward to the Eagle I have that kit will follow on that build thanks for sharing have a great day.
the color on this one is so much better a bit lighter. Much prefer this to the darker previous ones. Though I do rather dislike the grid lines, but that's the version the client wanted.
David, Even on the real ships, they're not exactly alike. If a ship is in service long enough, it will evolve and they'll change things, adding or deleting structural features. They always make small improvements between ships in a class. The last 2 vessels of the Nimitz-class carriers are actually transitional ships that prototyped technology and naval architectural features that are part of the Ford-class now. That class was unusual because it was in production for about 40 years. Most ship classes are produced for 20 years or less.
Nice thing about Gene Roddenberry he was in to perspectives. The inside does really relate to the outside, unlike most sci-fi ships which were a large office room inside a fuslage LOL. From Bridge to Shuttle bay. Would like to see Polar Lights or someone come up with one that has Scott's engineering section but it would have to be a removal cut-away section.
would love to own it! Would make a great addition to my Star Trek Bridge model(which I am finding these days difficulty finding paints for accuracy) as for Exterior hull primary color, I assume light ghost grey is the color used by most and that is what the 1/1000 scale suggests. but I'd use lighter grey like aircraft light grey. For this and for that. paint selection these days is sub par allover the internet and local stores are non-existant. I guess painting and model crafting is becoming less and less popular of late :(
Congrats on number 50! It looks great and has some unique features. What are your thoughts on going with the motor fan blade or LED fan blade? In the videos the led fan blades look pretty good when looking from the front, but seem to lose the effect when looking from the side.
Hello! I purchased the 350 scale TOS Enterprise model, the lights from Polar Lights, the upgraded Bussard lights, all the paints, paint booth, stencils instead of decals, and more. Then realized that it was WAY above my skill level and that I could not stand to build it, after spending over $1000 in parts, and wind up with a screwed up piece of plastic. So I come to you, hat in hand, and ask for a price for you to build this model for me. I live in Fort Worth, so if you're in San Antonio (or any where in Texas) shipping is not an issue. Thanks in advance! Michael
Mr. Boyd, No matter how many times I see these Enterprise builds they're always nice. EVERY ONE OF THEM. Question: The fantail lighting, is the green supposed to be in the center? Then yellow on each side, and red on each side after that?
The fan tail lights seem to vary from images I've found. I went with how they look on the some old photos of the original model long before the Smithsonian restoration was done.
@@TrekWorks I followed your Enterprise build a few months back, if there was one with the new lighting kit I could use both tutorials and build my own 😁 It would be my first big build and I dont want to mess it up.
I think it’s kind of sad that someone would buy a model kit and then have to pay someone to build it for them. Takes the joy out of it, the fun of doing it yourself.
Congrats on #50 Boyd. Thanks for build #20. One of the most satisfying purchases I've ever made in my life. Your Enterprise is boldly patrolling the skies up here in Canada.
Awesome to hear that!
Congrats Boyd on #50!!!! You do first class work!
Thank you :)
That shuttle bay is Amazing... Fantastic job Boyd!
Thanks :)
You are the absolute master of building these! No one does it better!
Thank you sir, lot's of practice.
Beautiful ,Boyd. Whats up with the large scale 72inch Enterprise? Haven't seen any updates.
This channel is my guilty pleasure.
Your client is going to love his custom Enterprise!

What a beautiful build! The paint job is incredible. This model looks so good that it could be used in a movie!
Thank you, I try to take pride in the paint work on these.

I just shared this on Twitter with a bunch of Star Trek Fans.
Cool, thanks!

That's a great attitude to have :) Go for it.
Bobby knows what he's talking about. Love the look and no rust rings on the saucer. Beautiful!
Looks Really Good Boyd!!! Looking forward to the Eagle build. I'll be watching
Top quality - closeup you can see the flawless finish on it. Looking forward some new content thanks Boyd!
Thank you :)
Hi Boyd, she looks fantastic I like the blue chiller grills & impulse engines as well they are sweet.👍
Awesome #50 Boyd you should sign them on the inside just behind the deflector dish with the # and maybe send out a special sticker for the ones already built. I think that your models will be collectable some day!!
That’s impressive with the Shuttle Bay.
Absolutely beautiful build! Love all the extras. Congratulations on the 50 builds! Wow!
Boyd, another great result. Yes, I too like the blue accents. I've just started #1, with bridge detail and shuttle bay. 🤞🖖
Awesome, enjoy your build experience. It's a great model.
50! That's amazing. Great work!
Purdy little ship, Boyd. I'd be happy with this one, too.
Really nice Enterprise, probably better than the tv props👍
50 of them?!?
God, you're patient, Boyd!

I'm looking forward to building the kit. I saw one fully assembled at a local model show and I was very impressed.
looks good as allways! exited to see the enterprise-E build! want to do one my self.

I still really enjoy building these.
U do an amazing job boyd 👍👍👍
Love It!!! We learn from the Master!!! lol!!
Beautiful build Boyd!
Thanks man :)
That’s impressive lighting and the miniature Bridge inside. That’s Cool.
Thanks :)
Always fun seeing alternate versions of this ship. Would love to see you make one as the Azteked Defiant from A Mirror Darkly someday.

50👍 I like the blue nacelles. If not for budget constraints that's likely how she would have been
Looks great!
Awesome, as usual!
looks incredible. Well done.
Thanks :)
Fascinating
Blue Impulse engines, not bad...overall a beautiful model!
Thanks :)
She looks great!
Thank you sir :)
Excellent work I hope you get around to doing the USS Grissom when it comes out
Oh yes, I always liked the design and have been waiting for a decent kit to arrive.
@@TrekWorks I might have to buy 2 And Do one in memory of my dad 1 in memory of my dad he always liked that ship he always liked that shit

Wow ! ! !
Where did you get the nacelle grills from?
Thank you!
Hi matey did you manage to finish that 72 inch enterprise all best
Quite like the blue impulse.
I like it too, something a little different.
I need one. How do I get one? Love it.

Trying to reach you for commissioning a build. Please advise on best way to contact you. Regards. Joe

Thank you sir for the prompt reply, I appreciate it.🖖😎
Would you consider building a TOS enterprise with the new upcoming light kit?
I'd have to see the new lighting kit to decide. Honestly it would have to be a big improvement
over the old one which wasn't the best quality.
@@TrekWorks I followed your Enterprise build a few months back, if there was one with the new lighting kit I could use both tutorials and build my own 😁

How much you charge for a static 350 TOS build ?
How do I contact you privately?
#50 i bet you know these models like the back of your hand😁
Yep, pretty familiar with them now but each one is unique so it keeps it fun.
@@TrekWorks 👍🏾
Could I convince you to commission this same project for me? I'm procuring the kit and lighting system now.
What happened to the 72 inch NCC-1701 Enterprize he was working on?
It's still in the works, stay tuned.
I think the coolers were suppose to be blue in the first place.
Nice build!.. thanks from New Zealand! 👍🇳🇿
Q:What did Spock find in the Enterprise toilet?
A:The Captains log!
Ha Ha! Very funny!
