With the panel up on the wall I can mount the clamp racks too.
Pretty easy since I designed it with the option of mounting it to any flat surface. 😁😎

I'm a FAN of fixing good old fans. I still run a 60s box fan with all metal parts blades and all (in a crisp mint green!) A minor cleaning every couple years and fighting of a set screw this thing will outlive me. Best part if thr motor dies they still make them. Glad your keeping good old thing going.

      I have two.
The front porch leaked water into the basement when we bought the house. I had it replaced but the fans got a workout during the cleanup.
Then I had the water heater spring a leak and the water softner ran out of the vented line attached to the septic piping. Both required a lot of cleanup. The fans were a big help.
My first houses had sump pumps. This one doesn't. I have a pump but I'm reluctant to drill a hole for a basin.

We have 2 in the greenhouse. One to bring air in and one to pull it out. Usually last several years. Happy Grandparents Weekend and God Bless Yall

Got to love being a Grampa.
My youngest sees me and raises his arms up to be carried. I wouldn't trade that for the world.

Keeping them clean removes the largest cause of machines failing. Dirt.
Like the thermometer that dies from dirty battery contacts because it laid forgotten in a drawer or on a shelf.
Removing the batteries takes a minute or two. Do that and it will last a century.

Better to do a little work and keep them coming than to do nothing and have them fail.

Any time you have one apart that far put some oil on the shaft and work it into the bearings will help the noise and make it last longer.

Metal buildings can get really hot especially near the roof. Maybe one day you will find one of those gable shutter fans at the restore. Put one right near the peak of the roof venting hot air out. 😃👍

The 10 foot walls help a lot. With the door open and the fan on it was livable even on the 90 degree days.

I hate knowing that a lot of people would have just thrown that fan away! People don't keep things up it seems. Such a waste! Nice to see something maintained instead of chucked! 🤠

The US was the armory of the world during WW1 & II to manage that our fathers worked in factories running furnaces 1and ovens that put the temp in the building at 120+ F.
I worked on machine tools first made in Canada in 1900.
Those machines were built to last because it only made sense to keep the equipment running rather then fail and by failing at the small things lose everything.

The one I have in the shop is from the 70s I believe, possibly the 60s.

I left my old fans at the other shop. Didn't have to the room to keep them. Two furnace blowers that could heat or cool the shop just by moving the air.
