Just imagine the table being turned, say, a more conservative government throttling the speech of left leaning people, would that be acceptable?
Also - whole platforms (Parler) were removed by big tech (in Parler's case, Amazon Web Services) depriving those who were looking for an alternative to Twitter of a platform suitable to their needs.

If you look at the total publicly known video footage it seems pretty clear that the officers thought they had controlled the situation. They had him in the car and talked to him. Then Floyd decided again to pull a temper tantrum and struggled to get out of the car. I think at some point one officer lost his patience and no longer cared about his actions. That is what killed him. They could not have prevented it by taking earlier action. It is also clear by his behaviour he was in drugs as he was from police footage from a previous time where he tried to cover up drugs in his car. A gentle giant? Me thinks not..

31:06 What a great notion!: Social media is "a natural monopoly". And the comparison with the electrical grid monopoly or the sewage system monopoly is so apt! We allow these companies to have a monopoly, and in exchange, we set conditions and limitations on their rights to control their company, so that they can't use the exposed position of the consumer/citizen to price-gouge or deny them this vital service.
The same should apply to social media companies. They should be forced to protect the citizens freedom of speech regardless of the personal opinions owner of the company, so that a republican owner of an electrical grid cannot deny electricity to democrats, and so a democratic owner of a social company cannot deny anybody, regardless of whether he despises their ideas and words, the ability to communicate these words to anybody who wants to listen.

I personally see “climate science” as a problem. If government really believed it they would work for survival. We once upgraded drainage and water systems as areas of homes and businesses developed but today we spout nonsense and do nothing to alleviate basic problems. Climate always changes back and forth over millions of years. It has stopped people from living their best lives because of their anxiety over it. It’s 95% political. We would probably have anxiety if things were getting colder by several degrees. The middle ages were cold and populations got smaller based on their survival. Part of the warming after that period sprouted populations and pandemics and early childhood deaths accounted for shrinkage. The liberal media works 24/7 to pound fear and resentment and rarely mention mitigation that they follow through on.

Aha!! I have myself personally seen UFOs. Perhaps the most amazing event in my entire life! I was traveling from Dallas Texas headed to a hotel on the gulf coast in 1967. I was a singer in a band and the rhythm guitarist was driving and I was in shotgun seat. We had left Dallas around a half hour before sunset. Ron the guitarist had decided to take a highway rather than the larger freeway that the rest of the band was on so that we might make up time in catching up with them after losing track of them on the way out of Dallas.
I estimate that it was around midnight or after that we came upon a very strange scene, dozens, perhaps as many as a hundred cars were parked along the side of the road in both sides of the two lane highway. I was sleepy and a bit zoned out listing to some all-night radio show when Ronnie said "Wow! What the hell is going on here!!" I suddenly jerked up wide awake to see the scene I just described. We pulled off the road at the first spot available. As we pulled in I rolled down the window and asked a guy in a red and black check lumberjack shirt what was going on. He glanced back at me for a quick moment gesturing Toward the sky and said, "well get out of the car and see for yourself”
Of course we did. I looked up to see three huge bright lights, much brighter than Venus at dusk, slowly circling around a common center. There were also many smaller lights that would come from various directions on the horizon to zoom up to the three main lights and merge with a larger light.
Of course these were obviously some sort of self illuminated craft.
I asked the guy I first spoke to how long he had been watching this spectacle, without taking his eyes off the sky he answered “about 45 minutes” then added, some of these people have been here for hours,
I looked around at the crowd, there had to be more than a hundred people there.
After about half an hour suddenly hundreds of the smaller craft began zooming from all directions on the horizon and in a swarm began merging with the three large crafts. It was utterly awe inspiring. A few moments later the three large ships merged into one huge bright light and zoomed straight up and out of sight. A huge roar came from the crowd like a touchdown at a football game. I yelled out as well my heart thumping in my chest like a jackhammer..
Ron and I looked at each other eyes wide in astonished wonder. He shook his head and then looked up and said “hey, lets get out of here before there is a traffic jam with everyone trying to leave at once. So we jumped in the car and took off. We sat in silence as we raced down the highway. Later Ron said excitedly, “what are we going to say to the other guys when we get to the motel?” I said, that I was going to tell them exactly what happened. He glanced at me and said, “do you think they will believe us?” I was pretty sure they would and said so.
Most of the guys in the band were excited and believed us. Only Kenny Blevins, the drummer didn’t buy it. He called Ronnie and I liars. Kenny was a Catholic. I think the idea clashed with his religious beliefs for some reason.
The strangest thing to me is I never heard or read anything about this in the press or media.

@@sunnyla2835 This is the Skeptic Society's podcast, it's run by Michael Shermer. I was at this live event (a recent Skeptics conference) and asked a question to Michael Shellenberger on a controversial topic which he answered at length--I actually said, DO you want to comment on this upcoming project I know he's working on. He could have said No, not at this time, but he discussed it at length. I came to watch this video thinking, now I can hear how my question sounded and really HEAR the answer, which is sometimes hard in a big room. HOWEVER, both the question & answer have both been cut, I assume by Michael Shermer. So Skeptics/Michael Shermer cut my question & Shellenberger's answer, which is censorship.

Many times someone has told something had been debunked, but the debunking was a declarative action with no argument or evidence. So many ppls threshold for evidence is so low that as to be a statement issued by an authority that they only trust on issues they already agree with, but will also lambaste the source on issues they dont agree with. So I see a lot of selective bias from others with little ability or willingness to adjust their worldview to fit the facts, but instead choose which facts support their worldview. Not liking a candidate for instance is no excuse to believe in any fantastic claims of them, good or bad. There's been many RUclipsrs that walk around looking for hot takes, listing presidential actions and quotes, and they publish the ones where the respondent assumes the positive actions are their preferred political choice, but reject the negative as being from the person they dislike. Its deceptive editing but these ppl do exist, and they don't know how to question the information given to them.
