Does it work using only mobile data? Got Chromecast but it requires having a router. I'm cheap and just use my mobile data, I don't have home internet or a router, but have unlimited mobile data. Used to use Netgear Push2TV, but it doesn't work with my new Moto G8 since it doesn't support Miracast. I need a way to cast to TV using only mobile data, and not using hotspot either.
I have an Android Smart TV. Therefore, does this device add anything to my service? On the TV I am trying to stream live sport and the system buffers all the time. The supplier has said that a box may help, but seems like it will only replicate what I already have?

I have a 4k uhd tcl tv and it says no signal, i tried different cables, different hdmi ports, switched all of them to hdmi 2.0, i bought it today i cant even set it up because theres no signal😩
Hey. I just got the Mi Box S for Christmas and am using it in my upstairs bedroom, more or less about my Netgear X10 wifi router. I have connected it on the 5GHz and it streams great. HOWEVER, if I'm watching something... live TV, Netflix, whatever... it interrupts with a prompt to re-scan my channels. I have re-set the box and made sure that the HDHR is working on it as well as scanned the Network Tuner as well as the HDHR tuner. Any thoughts why it keeps prompting me to re-scan? Thanks.
the only drawbacks of using 5ghz frequency is that the signal are shorter compared to the 2.4 ghz counterpart . have you tried bringing it next to the router for a day to do a test? to see if the issue persist. you may need a wifi repeater or bring router closer to box.

we believe it only does 16:9
