the whole concept about running third party logistics is to create a cheaper alternative for a small freight company hiring a warehouse that makes no sense for their purchasing and sales needs. Its best to be small but exciting.

good question. 3PL operations are now becoming the thing, and younger starters who don't need large warehouse shipping facilities don't need to worry about that part. Who knows, perhaps you are just 5 to 10 percent of the business they have at a particular site or even less. You still get the benefit of their cost controls and savings.
