    Everyone have a read through the comments to spot the South Africans. I swear, they have to be party to every online post. They mirror their coach Rassie in their negativity. Despite winning the World Cup 3x they always act like they are they are forgotten men. 'What about us' they ask, as they contribute another negative post online. Someone told them they can only be good at rugby...and they believed it. Insufferable. Where are the decent Saffa fans? I know they're out there, somewhere.

    • @jacqloock

      You should be more charitable.
      Remember that the Boers’ sphere of permitted public participation has contracted to exclusively anonymous online rugby commentary, that they are a people sourced from the lowest feudal class of feudal Europe, that their culture is limited to rugby and braaivleis, that they are taciturn earthy creatures, and that no-one ever said of a particularly talkative individual that “he could talk for South-Africa.”
      Also, I consider Byrne to be be the best tighthead of my lifetime but - be more charitable.
      It is virtue both in Catholicism and in Christianity.

      Hi Joe, rugby and hurling and football are played throughout the island both North and south. Some religious divide in the north but sport can and is a great way of bringing everyone together. I am from Cork and grew up with all three sports.

    • @peterfrancis7
      @peterfrancis7 2 года назад +1

      Joe, as Brian has said above - rugby is unique in that the Ireland team is made up of players from all over the island of Ireland. Football has separate teams - the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. There is a history to that. Its why there are 2 songs played when the Ireland rugby team plays (I think only at home games) - Irelands Call and the Irish national anthem. Irelands call was brought in to include the players from north of the border.
      Every county in Ireland has a gaelic football team and a hurling team, which you probably already know.
      And Donegal is the best county in Ireland :)

To be honest, any video and it's comment thread that involves Irish rugby involves complete abuse by the majority of SA supporters who comment on them and that goes for all social media platforms. SA supporters show no respect for players outside of SA and it's getting old. Other rugby supporters from around the world can appreciate talent in other countries besides their own but not the case for SA supporters. Why is that? I can look at any nation and appreciate the talent in the squad as can so many other supporters around the world but for the majority of SA supporters who comment on videos or other posts, you won't hear a positive thing said about any player outside SA. That's my problem. SA have amazing players past, present and no doubt future but never will the top rugby XV consist solely of 15 SA players. I can look at my own team and say a player isn't good enough or they lack in a certain area, yet still play with skill and intelligence in other areas of their game. Why can't SA supporters do that
