This is the greatest track I have found from all of Salt’s videos. I have never heard such a powerful combination of what someone would feel when they feel like they are at the end of their capabilities (in this instance, speedrunning), but that their willpower is too strong to stop them from slouching and giving up!
I love the odd clashing of the synth and dubstep parts, it's jarring at first but honestly gives so much personality to the track as a whole. And then towards the end, the clashing sides are united and the resulting fusion is something that I can only describe as "banger". Great music!
What a masterpiece of a song. The use of dubstep really gives it spice. People say it's worse because of the dubstep, but I think it's better. Without the dubstep, there would be no setup for the climax of the song. Each time the main melody plays something new it added. The beeps are also iconic to me. 11/10 song. It truly captures the best a synthwave song can be. There are many different themes the best synthwave songs use. Hope in Zero Gravity, love in Spacewaltz, existentialism in Astable, failure in The Polyhedron and the theme of this song, success. These themes can make what would be a great song, an absolute masterpiece.

I've been trying to wrap my head around how the bass rhythm is actually timed because Patricia Taxxon had 10 even notes and one pickup split evenly into two measures. I only just figured out that it's just a string of dotted eighth notes with a single eighth note pickup at the very end. I feel very satisfied now that I have made sense of it. Had to write it on a paper and do the math to figure it out lol.
a truly fine example of what great synth sounds like, you get the feeling your hitting a new level every 32/64 counts, perfect clockwork layering with just enough bendy to make it not sound overly clocked. this has been living in my head on repeat forever, just gets you going ya know?

Im glad you like it, but I just have to ask. Why dont people seem to like the dubstep part? A lot of people were saying the same thing as you. Personally, I think the song is a bit boring without the dubstep.
@@SynthMasters I have a soft spot for stuff like that, but I see why people might not like it. The song is so soaring with such fun chord progressions and the “dubstep” part feels static by comparison. At first it comes off as having less personality than the rest of the song because it just seems like a stereotypical dubstep synth. I like it at 3:20 more than at 0:58, I like when artists spotlight an element that seems to not fit and then reveal how it fits with the beat and chords, (eg Justice Planisphere Pt 3, and the live version of One Minute to Midnight)... I think that payoff came a little too late in the song though. Really like this track regardless!

That end payoff of the two conflicting parts is what makes the song for me, a battle between slapping dubstep and banger chord progression. Without the dubstep the song feels a bit too empty, cheery and short. I try to think of what else could be put in to fill that emptiness that isnt dubstep and I cant think of anything. Nonetheless, Im glad you enjoy the track.
