Wagmatt, we know you are busy, but... we all agree on this... Please PLEASE do the tutorial videos for the next DCS. We prefer your familiar heart warming voice and expertise.
@kyCap222 You'd set a Hat Switch to TMS Up. Then to designate a SPI you'd first press your new Hat Switch button once quickly to hook the target then hold the Hat Switch button for a second or so to declare it as SPI. Holding it for a second is the "TMS Up Long". So there's no "Long" or "Short" button, just the Up button you either press quickly for short or hold for long.
Thanks! I was having problems with laser guided bombs. I was forgetting to activate the laser.... Dohhhhh. Great video, exactly what I wanted to know! Off to practice my bombing.
I flew in an actual A10 simulator here at Davis-Monthan AFB a couple weeks ago. The ones our A10 pilots use before getting in the real one. It is way hard to fly these hogs. Its 10x harder to keep the damn thing in such a perfect motionless state while in air pressing buttons and dealing with winds and what not. #super addicted
I guess the auto lase options in the DSMS are to prevent task saturation when things get hot. I've been manually lasing with 'latch on' since the early betas. Old habits, etc. I will give this a go. Great vid.
Thanks for posting this vid. I´ve learned what mistakes made me not hit my targets. Seems I lasered too long. By the way: Your explanation was very good to follow. Thanks for this.
I just got this game... I've been into flight Sims since I was very young and this game has a pretty large learning curve. I'm slowly starting to get it... once you learn the acronyms, it's a lot easier
Thanks for the video, its very clear... Sadly I dont have the CCIP ring on the HUD and I dont know how to activate it. I have been following tutorials but no luck at all.
Im pretty sure someone in the air force uses DCS A-10 while off duty to practice. I have never flown one of these things but I have climbed inside one at an air show, and let me tell you the controls in the game look identical to the real A-10.
I have a problem!!! around 1:15 when you press 15 on the UFC and it sets the laser time, I followed your exact steps up to that point, but when I press 15 on the UFC and then OSBs 17 (or the OSBs connected to the lasor time) the laser time does not change? this also occurs on other things that require entering numbers through the UFC? can you help it really makes the game frustrating!
question, does this game revolve around destroying tanks, jeeps, and boats only? or can you help out infantry with ground support in firefights, take out certain buildings and certain hideouts?
I can figure out how to drop the GBU-38, i do the same this as I do with the GBU-12 but the count down never happens and the bomb never drops, also how are your bombs so accurate? I have auto-lase on and I usually set the lase time to 10-20 seconds and I usually bomb from low altitude but my bombs always fall short or go way past the target, is my lase time to long for doing low altitude bomb runs?
Gotta question!! I did Exactly what u showed for a GBU 10 ..laser painted the target 15 src before impact..but bomb didnt explode.....fail......but whyyy !!?? Please help me guys
A lot of times when I try to enter the lase time or anything else, a little red box appears on the display around the lase time and it doesn't update. Sometimes it works and I can bomb targets fine, but I seem to break it at some point without knowing how. What could I be doing wrong?
I have problems with mine and am unable to figure out why. In the tutorial, if I use the GBU-12 first, as instructed, it goes well. Then, during the tutorial, I go to GBU-38. This works well also. So far so good. but when I switch back to GBU-12 I have problems. I slew the targeting pod to the steer point then slew to a nice juicy target. Then I make sure it is point track mode by using TMS UP Short, and then make it my SPI by using TMS UP LONG. And then I make sure I have plenty of altitude (at least 8000 ft AGL). And then I line up the target. I've been using auto lase with at least 10 seconds lase time. But after bomb drop the thing just seems to wander off to the middle of a field where it kills a gopher or something. Certainly not my target. Anybody have any suggestions why this might be occurring? I have no problems with the JDAM. Only the laser guided bombs.
Awesome.... Now I can launch a gbu-10 or 12 and it hits dead on after watching this tutorial. I could never understand Barack Obama's tutorials. Many thanks!
READ THE MANUAL and do the TUTORIAL missions. They outline much of what you see here. Also, the manual includes a diagram so you can instantly know what key presses correspond to stuff like CMS Right, etc. You paid for the game, might as well make use of the resources you're paying for. I'm using a welfare joystick like many other people, so I understand the frustration of not having a proper A-10 HOTAS.
White privilege is being able to say this without the fbi at your door. Are they at your door? Seriously dude be careful white privilege isn't what it's all cracked up to be
really? I'm getting the same as this video appears with a single 660. This game is surprisingly forgiving of mediocre equipment (missing HOTAS equipment aside. =)

DCS World has come a long way, still destroying targets with this beast. Thank you For this Beautiful Sim And keep working hard.
You have a great 'tutorial' voice!
now l FINALLY know how to use that warthog that's in my garage!
Once again great instruction, if a picture is worth a thousnad words, a video is worth a manual! Keep them coming....please.

Didn't quite understand the concept from the ingame tutorial, but your video was awesome. Thank you!

Great vid.

Seems I lasered too long.
By the way: Your explanation was very good to follow. Thanks for this.
@PlaystationLOV3R There's a wide variety of missions from basic interdiction (killing high value targets), and CAS (supporting troops on the ground).
Thank you very much for these videos. I find the in game tutorials a bit hard to follow at times.
This man should of done the tutorials in game. Perfect demonstration.
I just got this game... I've been into flight Sims since I was very young and this game has a pretty large learning curve. I'm slowly starting to get it... once you learn the acronyms, it's a lot easier
once you learn how it fly its soooo easy
Thanks for the video, its very clear... Sadly I dont have the CCIP ring on the HUD and I dont know how to activate it. I have been following tutorials but no luck at all.
Really good info, thought it'd be better if you also mentioned what key's you're using, even if you are using a hotas.
we need a video about buddy leasing!
Muy buen video. Me podrias decir los Datos de tu PC?. Tarjeta Grafica, Procesador, RAM.
these are so good tutorials! thanks Matt

Great tutorial.
Please keep them coming.
Thanks, your tutorial has made understanding using GBUs easy - so much easier than the default tutorial in game.
Thumbs up and a sub from me!
@11290lars it's a fire extinguisher
i love your vids, even though I have a good grasp of this sim its always good to watch what other pilots do and learn from it =)
@Iceman9769 he's one of the developers/producers of the game, so yeah, he knows the game really well.
Good and clear instructions!
Dude use the fire executer PLEASE just wondering what,it,does
Make sure laser is on as well, maybe?
@Sablicious This is easy compared to how hard it was 15-20 years ago.... A cake walk really
@datodavita1212 It is Digital Combat Simulator: A-10C Warthog.
Apart from buddy lasing, why would I want to lase manually?
Great job, and excellent presentation....well done sir and thanks. Subscribed!
@MultiWingnut Thats the stall warning.
Nice tutorial, thank you for your support!
Why would I want to use manual laser? Only thing I can think of is system fault or combat damage.
I think they have Track IR
Great video! That explains my failures.

How Do You Set A hat Swich To The Target Designatir?
How do you get smooth panning of the cockpit and zooming?
are that u that are talking in the real DCS turtarial??
my thoughts exactly
I can figure out how to drop the GBU-38, i do the same this as I do with the GBU-12 but the count down never happens and the bomb never drops, also how are your bombs so accurate? What type of camera add-on are you using? Its really smooth and natural
@cbremer83 Buddy lase maybe I dunno just guessing?

AMAZING VID - AMAZING "GAME"
Thx for those vids Wag!
Gotta question!! I did Exactly what u showed for a GBU 10 ..laser painted the target 15 src before impact..but bomb didnt explode.....fail......but whyyy !!?? Please help me guys
nice video man!
Nice video. Thanks.

Are you an ex-pilot, or are you just really good at this simulation?
I have problems with mine and am unable to figure out why. In the tutorial, if I use the GBU-12 first, as instructed, it goes well. Then, during the tutorial, I go to GBU-38. This works well also. amazing graphics! do you have sli or crossfire or you have intel i7 cause mines looks like 2ds
Ha Ha he has 69 videos. Nice video it finally taught me to how to use the laser guided bombs. Thank You.
Wait Matt are you the tutorial voice guy??
He uses TrackIR. I used to use the Playstation eye. I would rather Track IR. But hey it works.
what does the tone at 4:00 indicate?
6 years late, but it's the G-Limiter tone.
(If you haven't figured it out)
Thank you! Sure helps a lot!
Awesome.... Now I can launch a gbu-10 or 12 and it hits dead on after watching this tutorial. I could never understand Barack Obama's tutorials. Many thanks!
How is this NOT classified information?
This isn't real life
And if I'm wrong correct me no other country used a10
It is, so don't tell anyone!
Its an out dated plane, old tech. The software isnt exactly the same
a10c module is %90-95 same as real life afaik
really helpful :)
Do you r a pilot of A-10 tank killer??? I have a DCS Blavk Shark an d is amazing too.hellow from Costa Rica capt.***
thing like this can't be experienced in Battlefield3
Matt, did you fly A-10's in actual duty combat?
Who knew it was so complicated?
Is this the same guy from DCS BS?

Saying "Like" since I can't actually use the Like feature.

Thanks for the great video - future ISIS pilot... /sarc
White privilege is being able to say this without the fbi at your door. Are they at your door? Seriously dude be careful white privilege isn't what it's all cracked up to be
Yeah, it's not just pressing a button and blowing your enemies' faces off :)
this is so hard
@datodavita1212 Every single ARMA pilot wishes it was.
really? I'm getting the same as this video appears with a single 660. This game is surprisingly forgiving of mediocre equipment (missing HOTAS equipment aside. =)
@FickSpecht I don't see a "game" here. ;)
My nose is bleeding. C8
Jesus, that looks complicated lol. Cant wait to get this sim. Need better computer 1st :(
@maddelkiller29 Basic reading comprehension, you lack it.
