Before I started flying this beauty I have watched all the A10-C tutorials you have made Cap (and your fellow GR members) and they helped me getting started. I'm flying the A10-C for quit awhile now and getting around with all the SOI, SPI, buttons and all the other great stuff. I'm now revisiting all the video's again and I'm again learning. This is how my brain works (and I'm probably not the only one). When I'm reading a manual or watching a tutorial I'm only learning stuff that I can grasp at that specific moment (which is not al lot I can tell because she's a bitch :-)). After a lot of practicing hours and putting what I have learned in to action, I'm revisiting the tutorials to a) check if I'm doing it still the right way and b) learning even more. The way you setup all the DCS related tutorials ie sharing your knowledge is brilliant Cap. It's for the same reason the GR (and you in particular Cap) were mentioned at the DCS website as one of the best DCS teaching channels. Again thanks for all the hard work you put in this and sharing your knowledge and passion of DCS and aircrafts in particular with us.
Heads up: china hat aft short no longer resets the TGP to boresight. This is not an error, but rather is exactly how it behaves in reality. To boresight your TGP, you have to press STANDBY, the back to AG.
Lovely video. Ive been getting back into the Hog playing the new Enemy Within campaign recently released by Baltic Dragon and I needed a refresher course on the TGP and the CDU. This helped me immensely. Thank you and looking forward to your F-14 videos. :D
Isn’t the T just a status icon? T as in tracking then L for lazing when you turn the laser on? Maybe it’s meant as a check to see if the pod is actually doing what you’re telling it to or not
Very, very useful. There are always new things to be learned - thank you! The A10-C is one of the most rewarding planes in DCS. There is so much to be learned, but once you master it.......... (Now trying to learn the A/F18, and soon I have forgotten half of the stuff in the A10-C)
Thanks for this video SuperCap, just started learning the A-10C II after owning the original A-10C since it came out way back when, all the different switches seemed way to difficult to wrap my head around. Still stuggeling, but slowly getting better at it and I really needed this tutorial, so thank you for making this (I know like me you prefer older aircraft that is not like playing with your smartphone while flying). Stay safe and keep up the good work!
Lol the sentence in the () yeah, the f/a-18 seems a bit easy honestly, then you have this that is insane with the amount of buttons you need. Funny thing is I still fly both with an xbox controller, it's all I have. And some keyboard input.
I'm loving these A10 vids Cap, thanks, man. Can I request a video, I thought this is one people sometimes ask about on stream. So can you do one on how to Create/Save controls profiles, where they are located and backing them up to transfer to a new install. Just thought it might be another string in your bow ;)
I just flew the Red Flag mission 9 at night, and could NOT get the TGP to track a moving tank. Kinda hard to drop a GBU 12 in that situation. Based on the video, I think it's due to having the TGP zoomed in TOO CLOSE...the tank was taking up most of the MFCD. Maybe that is just as bad as having it too far zoomed out and target too small. Dunno. Thx for the vid.
The the letter T is replaced by a flashing letter M, it means the target is masked (by wing or store on aircraft). Not completely helpful, but some direction of symbology
Hi, it was mentioned that it is possible to lock the SPI to the TGP LOS when doing Point Track. I have run into a wierd problem though: When I slave the SPI to the Point Track, I am not able to get the Pod "back to normal" again. I just cant get the TGP to "release" the SPI. Is there anyone that can help me out here?

Just installed DCS and was given a Warthog HOTAS, now I must learn all this.. a little intimidating but these videos will really help, thanks!

Thanks Cap, very timely, lately I have been flying the Advanced Qual missions and having problems with the TGP. This is what the doctor ordered!!
Thanks Cap, you taught me to fly the F15C and now you're helping me with the A-10C!

yo, if you nailed that helmet display and the tpod, you could gain soo much effectiveness in a squad
You are a gift for all DCS players - Love your content!!!

Thanks, once more mystery solved!
China aft short put laser in search mod in rh a10c II. How i boresight in the update?
Excellent tutorial. Very useful, thank you.
Does any of this apply in the A-10C II ?
I'm setting up for the first time and hope to get it right the first time and only have to learn it once.
Yse but I have the II specific vids in here also: Playlist: ruclips.net/p/PL3kOAM2N1YJfFBHHzkwuRA2vZNKaU6VuJ
A-10C II is just basically 90% identical to A-10C.. just different radio panels, and more features such as HMD and laser guided rockets & Mavericks ;)
What a great video, very interesting. Thanks!
Now that helped 😀
Nice one. Is there a chance that someone can help me with the a2a mode in the TGP?
It's such a complex plane to fly. I've not flown it for a while and just loaded it into a new pc build and can hardly remember a damn thing.
I know your pain.
What is the name of the button in the settings where you bring the Tgp back into the neutral position?
