Our favorite thing to do in GCI is to visit the National Museum. Immediately behind the museum is a great little kitchen that has some excellent food. When we were on the Solstice, we noted that they were playing the same song at 5:45 pm three straight nights.
Jill!! Snail, octopus…..we’re seeing a trend here. Will you continue on this path of a culinary adventure?? You’re forging the way for me!! 😄 Scott says if you try it I have to try it. 😳
I just use my hand as a cup. Worked for drinking from the stream as a kid and great with an awkward tap. Also toothpaste is really harsh on yiur skin so you can rinse any excess away.
Hmm, the elephant in the room is why would you put your mouth under a sink faucet like a water fountain? Is that a Canadian thing? In my experience you use a glass or cup of some sort. Is that just in the US?
Ewwww.....everyone else puts some slimey, toothpaste smeared mouth up to a clean glass in the bathroom? Yuck. So then someone cleans the glass or does all the toothpaste debris stick to the glass for the same pleasure each night? Ewwwww - sticking to under the tap - much more sterile.
Omg, never ever have we put our mouth under a faucet. How about cupping your hands to get water to rinse your mouth and washing off the toothpaste off your mouth? Or wash off your mouth and use a glass to rinse your mouth out, that’s what the glasses are in the bathroom for.
OMG those cakes in the buffet! No other food needed LOL. When even I have a choice to taste octopus I will. It seems totally different from calamari. (which I don't like). And tou guys looked handsome again for diner.
The cakes were beautiful and delicious.🍰 Not sure if you would like octopus if you don’t like calamari. It has a very similar texture and taste in my opinion.
Yes, my maternal grandmother was from Cornwall, England and "pass-ties" were her specialty. I always remember the correct pronunciation after my mother told me "pasties" as something a stripper wears. 🤣
You should’ve had the Galaktouboureko for dessert. It is a cross between baklava and vanilla slice and is amazing….our favorite Greek dessert. Pickled or grilled octopus is one of my favorite Greek entrees.
We like to get off first thing in the morning knowing that we have a lot time to work with. We tend to go back and forth on whether we do a ship excursion or something on our own. We always book through the ship if it is a whole day excursion that we are planning. That way we don’t have to worry about the timeline.
Whst s trooper Mrs C, the cake and rum shot made me chuckle. I agree with skipping the part of the excursion. The smaller bus would of been my choice sd well. Cheers😅
Sorry you are having difficulty finding the letters. They are definitely there. So agree with your statement. The night light make cruising so wonderful.
Looks like you had a fun day! Glad to see the tour as we will cross that one off and probably go to the beach (I think you mentioned you had done the 7 mile beach on a past visit?) Not until next year anyway on RC 😂

@@CruisingCanucks its better than having the rag they used to clean the toilet to polish the faucet with. Just take a bottle of water into the bathroom
It's Greek food. Cyprus was a Greek island before the Turks illegally invaded the island. It's still recognized as such (Greek). The Turkish area is not recognized by the United Nations or EU.
There were a few. Unfortunately we had dinner next to five of them on the first formal night and it was nothing but screaming and yelling throughout our whole dinner. We regret that we didn’t request to get moved as others around us did.

Good evening from England, loving your video as always, but please don’t rinse your mouth after cleaning your teeth, I only found this out last year but it washes away the fluoride, don’t even put water on your brush during brushing, taking some getting used to but I know it’s good for me😊

Thanks for the tip regarding the museum. We will have to check it out sometime.
Good idea, Jill! A glass works better than touching your mouth on the faucet. 😅😂
Definitely
💯 love that you choose not to support excursions where animals are held captive and not in natural habitats.❤😊
Thanks, One of our favourite activities is to snorkel and see aquatic animals in their environment!

Trying things out side my comfort zone where food is concerned. I have been noticing that as I mature so does my tastebuds!

Jill-Your hair, make up and color scheme with the dress was on point this evening!
Thanks! Appreciate your compliment.

My English husband assures me that meat pie is called a "pass-ty" :-)
Thanks for that.

Thanks for the tip - we will have to try that next time!
Jill. Love the dress and earrings.
Jerry. I think I need a temperature gauge too. 😂😂
It’s his new handy dandy toy!
We are off to grand cayman in April, I am not as brave as you to do our own tour. Worry about missing the ship

The pure about of having both the rum and the cake at the same time was overwhelming. We had a fun time though!
You both are a lot of fun! Lovely turquoise dress Mrs Canucks!
Thanks! We appreciate it.
As a member of the Canadian Forces we were taught outside in for what utensils to use. Hope this help🙂
Thanks, it does
Hi. Are the Grand Cayman tenders wheelchair accessible. Sorry if this has been asked before…
Love your vlogs x
Yes they are!
3 videos in and I still can't find "the letter" - HELP! The beauty of cruising, comedy show, live music, and a few drinks along the way :)
Sorry you are having difficulty finding the letters. They are definitely there. So agree with your statement. The night light make cruising so wonderful.
@@CruisingCanucks No worries, with the kind of luck I have I would end up owing you a Free Luggage 😂
@@johnnyv5995 i have not had issues finding the letters and i use my phone to watch them.

Yes, we love 7 Mile Beach and spent a great day there on a previous trip.
Use a glass Jerry!!

My husband and I were there 3 weeks ago on Sky princess.
Nice. What did you get up to while there?
@CruisingCanucks Shop,Shop Shop😂
Marvellous 🛍️

Thanks for the info.
Celebrity cake. ❤
They were something for sure. We of course had to sample a few!🍰
You asked about the aesthetics of the bow of the ship?
Doesn't impact my choices. I'm much more about function than form.
The way a ship function is the most important part of having a great experience.
Ha ha… i usually just cup my hands to put water in my mouth and it works better! 😂
Do they have the martini bar show?
Yes they do. It will appear in a later vlog.
Prettiest water I have ever seen. Of course, it was nearly 20 years ago.
The water is such a beautiful colour of blue!
Good choice not going to the captive animal place
Are there any children on board?
There were a few. Unfortunately we had dinner next to five of them on the first formal night and it was nothing but screaming and yelling throughout our whole dinner. We regret that we didn’t request to get moved as others around us did.
I have never seen anyone rinse their mouth under a tap after cleaning their teeth??? Is this a Canadian thing? Yuk!

Not a Canadian thing at all. 😆
