She’s absolutely gorgeous.I did not know they did such a tiny doll as this one .I love her beautiful face paint and the way you painted the body,it’s so pretty and just enough for a young mermaid lol..The tiny pearls finished her off perfectly .And of course we cannot forget to mention the fabulous hair too.I absolutely love this tiny piece of perfection.I actually prefer the eyes and lips glossed.as they look natural .I think when you first do it it looks super shiny ,and when it dries it’s a little better...As your working on them don’t forget that you have bright light shining down on them.I think she’s exquisite and I Love her ,great job 🥰

What I think may muddy things with the gloss is the type of gloss and that it's kind of thick. Something from mini and resin kit painting that's used a lot is actually acrylic based floor polish (name has changed a few times, it used to be Future Floor Polish, it's currently being sold as Pledge Floor Gloss) and it is super shiny and water thin.
Best way to get freckles is to put the desired colour on a stiff brush and like flick it on. Just wipe off the ones you don't like. And they look great!

Well done, my dear. I wonder whether msc varnish would allow one to draw on the face of an older, 1970’s era plastic dime store doll. Some were sold as sleepy eyes, others as dolls of the world, that sort of thing. I see so many discarded, it would be lovely if they too could be restored.
Honestly, I don't know why people gloss the lips. I've never met a human who has naturally wet lips unless they've been drooling. Glossing the lips is fine and well for a gloss or lipstick look, but it isn't "natural" like so many artists claim. how many wet people do you know?? That being said, she's adorable.

You have to gloss the eyes. It gives the right Finish. Please don’t stop doing this. The eyes are gonig to Look like real eyes with the gloss on top.
