As a beginner I’m always so intimidated to build in planet zoo esp seeing such amazing creations by you. But seeing how your elephant habitat started, that it’s not pretty at the start, it’s just basic building blocks, honestly makes me happy to see. I feel like seeing your build process for the elephant habitat here in pz is honestly just a very good from start to end “tutorial” of sorts. It just makes building a habitat seem much more easy to tackle, and that yeah my habitats won’t look very good at first, it’s all the dressing up that really makes it fantastic.

Side note, Zoo Tycoon 1 was my first video game and my dad played it with me for literally thousands upon thousands of hours! ❤ The game released when I was 1 and I have such fond memories of playing it for years with him. Now I absolutely adore Planet Zoo and can't wait to introduce my future children to it one day. 🥰

zoo tycoon is so nostalgic, my mum worked at an after school centre and they had a PC with it on. managed to wrangle control of the PC and play it with all the other kids helping with their suggestions 😆
i think you should try to build something in Wildlife Park 2. I know, it's another pretty old game, but it has some cool things... and some painfull ones, like, just one type of path. It was my first zoo game, outside of ZT1 demo (with 4 animals inside xD). I think u will make something nice looking in there. As an old player - you can make nice looking waterfalls, just by placing water pumps right, and then adding some rock or other stuff.
Zoo Tycoon 2 was my childhood game I had it on ds and it got corrupted so I haven't played it for so l9ng but the music brought back so many memories 😭😭😭😭

As an avid lover of ZT1, how the heck did you even get the game nowadays. Especially since most modern PCs lack a disk drive, and also how do you even mod it? If possible a guide would be amazing.
My first zoo game and one of my first games in general was Marine Park Empire, which (as I just found out via google) is the platinum edition of a game called Zoo Empire, which has all the animals of the original game plus a bunch of marine animals. I remember loving it as a kid, so I bought it again on steam a few years ago and it kinda sucks 😆 But it would be cool to try and build the same habitat there.
Dont we have penguins in PZ? Pretty sure those are birds and now we have Kiwis as well and cant forget peafowl ostriches, flamingos seems like quite a few birds to me 😂
My local zoo had one it died then they have another one and its sick RN like why is it always the baby elephants at my zoo like ive seen the dead one once and its sad it died now its sad that the new one is sick and can't be seen by public RN but we did recently get new red pandas after like 30 years of not having any havent been to see them .
I appreciate it would be difficult to do but I would have liked to see the 5 different habitats in one shot at the end. Hard to compare (apart from the ease of construction) from one to the other.

If you do this again, you should do it the opposite way, start by building in planet zoo and then try to recreate the habitat in other games!
