201607 Life and Thought - Chico Whitaker

Chico Whitaker (aka Francisco Whitaker Ferreira), Member of the Brazilian Commission Justice and Peace of the Catholic Church, is a social activist and one of the co-founders of the World Social Forum. He was elected in 1989 and 1992 as São Paulo Councillor on the PT ticket. He received in 2006 the Right Livelihood Award.
In July 2016, at the Montreal World Social Forum 2016, Canada, Chico Whitaker talked to Professor Sit Tsui and Miss Au Yeung Lai Seung about his personal history.
