I used to watch Design On A Dime on HGTV and 20 minutes into the show they would do no cost decorating! They clear a room then redesign with items from around the house. I 💜 that part of the show. You are giving furnishings a new live. Life is Change and Change is Life!!! I'm enjoying the transformations of each room.
This video is , unfortunately, not sponsored by Frito Lay. 😆 I just love how you are so down to earth and show us that everything doesn't have to be done right away. You find ways to accommodate your needs for the meantime. Thank you for these videos!
as a military brat and then the wife of a military soldier we where always moving every 3 years. i have lived in many places around the world and have learned the art of using what you have it was taught by my mother and i have passed it on to my sons. thank you for your great design i truly love and enjoy watching them . P.S my husband still doesn’t understand why iam always moving furniture and decorations around. LOL. 💖💖💖💖
Rebecca and her ocurrences, every thing that occures to you fits like a glove; your vintage window, the cart bar, the art on the wall, the coffee table, the side stacked tables, the sofa and the loveseat you know instinctively how to balance your furniture. Everything looks harmoniously. Waiting for the finishing touches.
I love this series, not only because I enjoy seeing you reimagine all your lovely things in new spaces, but for most of us, it’s exactly what we have to do when we move! Having your expert instruction on doing it well is very much appreciated! I have to admit I’m a fan of “the fussy” so I hope you’ll add a bit of that elegance and sophistication in your new formal living room! Every room doesn’t have to have the same personality and I know you can find all sorts of ways to create flow between different styles. Can’t wait to see what you are planning! 😍🥰😍
It’s amazing how beautiful the room makeovers are using what you have. It’s definitely gives me ideas of using what I have and not throwing out as much
Rebecca, I've never watched your videos and thought that you were showing off. I see a very talented woman that I see is excited, proud and not puffed up, has vision, has overall peace, humor and skills. Those are blessings not to be hidden. Keep it coming please. God bless and protect you and your family🙏. Thumbs up! Love ya!
Love seeing you turn your new house into your home by using what you already have. It feels like we're witnessing "phase one" of your remodel, so I can't help but be super excited about phase two's remodels, "SOMEDAY". I've watched you change lives for 10 years, and although we miss you here in SD, I'm excited to see how your life transforms and flourishes in your new space and city. Love, peace, blessings and wellness to you Rebecca. As always, thanks for sharing and thanks for teaching.
I absolutely love the dark natural wood tones you’re using in this home. Especially in the casings. Seeing you use and work with what you have is so helpful. 🙌
I subscribe to your model of 'using what you have'. I 'shop' in my own home first, and it is always surprising how I find things that fit my need but had put away years before. Your new window/bar moment is absolutely beautiful and a great way to incorporate, into your new home, something that is not only beautiful but meaningful to you.
Hi Becky, glad you brought your vintage window along to your new home. The other windows too need a lot more makeover just like your favorite vintage window. Just can't wait to see the transformation 🙌.... Way to go Becky.👍👍
I love this series of Using What You Have. The vintage window is in the most perfect place - you’re amazing! It has so much charm actually being on a window. It looks so different. Purposeful. Very well done. Btw love the dog of rolled papers! Quite interesting and unique - a conversation piece.
The window looks amazing. 😮 Wow watching you utilize your furniture in and around your new home is very insightful.... I love how you show us the item's previous placement and what it's new function is... What I've learned: a great way to use your old stuff in your new home, have beautiful, timeless pieces to bigin with. Lol
Loved the video Rebecca as always! You truly are a huge inspiration to me and others! I love how your new home is looking! I'm so happy for you in this new chapter of your life! May god bless you and your family!
Rebecca, the series of Using What You Have totally has me trying to rethink my environment and "attempt" to make beautiful rooms like you have! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us all and showing us how to use what we have to the full potential of the piece. I really think one of my issues is I have too much clutter!!
The “problem” with this video series is that Rebecca has impeccable taste and has a treasure trove of carefully curated, neutral, timeless furniture and accessories on hand. I quickly realized that the stuff I had was ugly before I moved and doesn’t look any better in its new location no matter how I swap it around :-) Tonnes of inspiration though!
My vinyl sofa was peeling. Can't afford a new one. So I wrapped it in white washable sheets and bought new pillows. Wha La! Had some old vases from my late mom and painted them, then bought fake succulents from Michael's on sale. Found a coffee table at the dumpster in my complex, scratches and all it looks fantastic. Got ugly fake furniture? Paint it. 😉
When you are an interior designer and you have 6 pods worth of stuff, of course you can make it work! I do love here style though and I will use it as inspiration. I just think she’s out of touch with the average person that can’t afford much. But like someone else said, paint can work wonders and some people are good with thrifting so we can all make do with a smaller budget.
OMG I love what you do. You're so talented and funny. I never got the impression you were showing off your house, and that you were only wanting to help others think outside the box when it comes to decorating. My guess on those 4 pictures, they were in your previous home bathroom?😋💝
In response to your question- where the 4 leave pictures you had in your previous home in the hallway outside your half bath on the first floor? I knew you'd definitely keep those as I remember how you jazzed them up to make them so beautiful in your previous home. They look so nice in your tv room. I simply adore how you brought your beloved glass panel from CA into OK home and had the carpenter help work it. It turned out like it's always belonged there. It added additional light along with the vintage and beauty to that nook. Honestly, the relaxed, chill TV room in your new place is very calming. Love how you keep on teaching through your videos Rebecca!! Continued blessings!!
Thank you, I like that you're pulling old and new together to create a new design style in Tulsa. I especially liked that you put the vintage window, from your San Diego entrance, into your ex-shutter window. It looks like it has always been there! Cannot wait to see what you do next!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The living room looks sophisticated and elegant without lacking comfort. I can't wait for the final reveal to the entire home fully decorated.
Really enjoying this series. It inspired me to stop putting off doing anything until I got around to getting new stuff and I rearranged what I had and finally put the nails in the wall to hang the art I already had. Wow, what a difference. The rooms are so much more functional now and much nicer to be in. Thank you!
Rebecca, I really have learned so much from your design ideas as well as your previous home projects (“The Cliff House”)!!! I also love your family room which has wonderful FLOW. The window from your previous house works quite nicely as if it was meant to be there. I am so looking forward to seeing what you will do next with your new home (possibly your Kitchen?! 😁😄). Thank you so much Rebecca for sharing your design ideas. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love your videos soo much!! I have learned soo much ftom them. Really love the window by the bar cart!! Beautiful!! You're such an amazing lady!! Have a great weekend!! 🍂🍁😊
I grew up learning how to make do out of need; now I practice economy by way of projects to change up the look in our home. I'm "eclectic" through and through, but not sloppy about it. Our pieces are curated according to sentiment and practicality. Thank you for demonstrating the art of repurpose; another way of thinking outside the box and loving the results. Every room you've shared so far has been fabulous and I look forward to the next installment in this series! Blessings
Your family room is lovely. I especially love the window from your other home that you put in your new home, its beautiful. I appreciate your decorating advise, it does inspire me. Wishing you a fabulous week.

AND.....I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE YOUR BEAUTIFUL HOME IN TULSA, OKLAHOMA AS WELL.

Love that you were able to use the vintage window. You are blessed to have such a talented handyman like your guy Jeremy. I do believe the four botanical art pieces were in your CA dining room.
Love the tip about blankets on the sofa - great for pets! Looking forward to seeing your window treatments and what a cute outfit you have on!! Thanks for the excellent content, Rebecca.
I would never know how much talent, effort and passion is needed to be a designer like Rebecca if I didn’t watch the design sessions. Much respect to you and your profession. ❤️
I would’ve been the first person to cry had you gotten rid of the ladder shelf and the vintage window that hung behind it in your previous home! I’m lovin’ the new life you’re giving to the old, beautiful stuff that you have! Like you, I’m slowly moving things around, and getting new pieces for my parents’ home to give it a new life. Thank you for the education and the inspiration. Always. I can’t wait for Kinwoven Christmas 2021! 💙⚜️
I love how your shopping your own stuff, and repurposing it in areas of your new home.Lovely as always Rebecca.I appreciate how you discuss about figuring out how and where to place art!
Hi Rebecca, Thanks for inspiring your viewers to use what they have! I absolutely love the way you reused your sofas and changed the pillows. I also loved the way you used the white blankets to preserve your sofas!!!
Love your 'Use what you have' !! I have done this for years and my home always has some of the same furniture and lamps. I can look at old pictures and see how I used things years ago. You are a great inspiration. Keep up the great work!!
Love these series of shows, I have done the same throughout my live, we moved many times, our budget was limited so I will move furniture around quite regularly, and now almost everything decorating our latest home have a story, I am 75.
I also have a light microfiber couch in my family room in which I remove the cushion covers, throw them in the wash, and the base of the couch I use the hand attachment of my carpet shampooer. It comes out beautiful!
Rebecca, these videos have inspired me so much to use what I already have in my home & possibly add some new pieces. I’m also an interior designer & you are one of my favorites as well. Keep up the beautiful work. ❤️☺️
Rebecca, I love your decorating ideas....You are an inspiration!! and yes using your stuff in a different place makes it all new again! I’ve had people ask me, Is that new?, when all I’ve done is move it from one room to the next!!
It is going to be exciting to watch you decorate that beautiful home for Christmas. We love the "using what you have" theme. My family and friends watch your videos and love them. We are redoing so many parts of our home using the Rebecca's touches. You are a blessing and what a beautiful legacy you are giving us all. Blessings in everything you touch and communicate.
The family room is absolutely beautiful! I'm reimagining the things that I have as I watch you repurpose things that you have. I hadn't seen the vintage window and was beginning to wonder what happened to it. As far as the set of 4 pictures goes, they were on the wall between your powder bathroom and laundry room. I thank you for giving me inspiration to make my space better and look at everything differently. Blessings to you and your family!
Inspiring IS what you do and who you are, from the first time I found, watched and subscribed your video, I just want to get up remodel ,redecorate , move things around and go thrifting and Home Goods. My favorite things to do. Keep up the great work, thank you for being you!! 🌞
I love what you did to your family room. I’ve been so concerned how I will transition my furniture from an apartment to a large home. You have soothed my concerns! Thanks Rebecca! Look forward to more!
Wonderful video! Informative and inspiring! I love that you incorporate many things from your previous home and that those items were purchased at very different times when styles were different. It’s inspiring to see how they “work” in any space.
Your info is super helpful! Your family room with its wide window casings ( those are not casements- a casement is a type of window). You have 6/1 ( top divided light) double hung windows. Beautiful and so smart, using what you have.
Rebecca, I love that you don’t shop for furniture at a single store and showcased a thrift shop bar cart. Series Using What You Have is a welcome slap in face to fast fashion disposable furniture mind set. Someone commented you have “a treasure trove of carefully curated, neutral, timeless furniture and accessories…” When starting out, buy well made furniture with good bones and you can move it from house to house and make it work with many different room decor styles.
I really appreciate you walking us through the process of using what you have. I'm doing the same thing in my home and it is exciting reusing old things to refresh my home.
I love what you did with your family room so, so much. It’s rare to be able to repurpose your furniture in a new space, but you did it, and the results are spectacular. The window above the bar cart really elevates the space. I cringe to think of draperies covering up those beautiful casements, but if you are doing it Rebecca, I know it will be for the best.
I wished you could rip up the whole wall leading to the kitchen and make a huge family kitchen room. I love this series soooo much. Learning from you. Hugs and kisses Rebecca.👏👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤
Watching Rebecca is so addictive. I love her design ideas but also her personality.

I love the vintage window with the bar cart in front of it. Looks great!
It's refreshing to see you using what you have and giving things new life. We can get creative without breaking the bank by shopping our own home.
Her personality is infectious. She’s what sells her interior design services.

Exactly. The things we all can reuse we wouldn’t want to.
I bet it’s better than you think. Get a friend who has good taste and a different eye to help you. Slipcovers,, new pillows and paint does miracles.

She makes Frito Lay chip clips look marvelous 😜
I am really enjoying how you decorate each room
Thank you so much for sharing! You are such an inspiration. I am getting busy right now.
The vintage window from your former home looks perfect in its new location.
I'm so excited to see this segment!!💕💖
I love what you did with your family room so, so much. It’s rare to be able to repurpose your furniture in a new space, but you did it, and the results are spectacular. The window above the bar cart really elevates the space. I cringe to think of draperies covering up those beautiful casements, but if you are doing it Rebecca, I know it will be for the best.
Also walk us through your furniture, art, rug, basically the stuff selection process.
I wished you could rip up the whole wall leading to the kitchen and make a huge family kitchen room. I love this series soooo much. Learning from you. Hugs and kisses Rebecca.👏👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤
