Pleas give me the name of those beds. You and Peter are a good team he's gonna learn a lot from you. Thank you for sharing with us.

    Mimi's clubhouse is a pretty good name. And it's a great idea to have a place designated for your grandchildren to sleep. That way they know that there's always a place for them to stay when they visit. If one of the walls is flat and wide enough you could put in a projector, use the white wall as a screen (or buy a screen from Amazon) and you and your grandchildren could have a movie night when they visit. But I love how you decorated it. And I think it's so sweet that you still have things that your mother gave you from 40 years ago.😊❤

      I love the design for your grandkidos but please do a safety cover of some sort over that beautiful window that opens up by the beautiful table and chairs. Not trying to be a negative ninny just safety is big with kids .Grandkids are so precious .Your creativity is lovely! Well done ,Btw i think that was a sewing room before and those diagonal compartements in your cabinets were perhaps meant to house fabric bolts to stand up and be able to be seen. I think that whole idea of removing the doors is fabu! Love that you keep things to change out seasonally! I have a grandkis / sewing room with some of my Mommas furnature in it and i love that! I sure miss my folks but have some sweet things that remind me of them .Kinda like a little hug when i see those things .

    • @EmorettaRobinson
      @EmorettaRobinson 3 года назад

      @@tullysoulliere8103 the fact that you have some of your mothers furniture. And think of having these things as a little hug is so sweet. My mother died when I was 19. That was years ago but I still think of her smile which lit up the room. And I like your idea. Rebecca loves her grandchildren (you can just tell by the way she talks about them) I'm sure she wants them to feel both safe and comfortable when they visit. Plus she's an amazing designer. I'm sure that place is safe. Please don't take this in a negative response to your comment because that isn't my intention. I know someone who when their grandson started to walk she changed out her living room table for a big circular tufted ottoman. So people do make changes with their rooms that are in the best interesr of children. With Rebecca being as talented she is I believe she's thought out that space carefully. But she may read your comment and see if there are any changes that she needs to make.

    Your guest and work space is very functional and is very peaceful. It's cool that you were able to achieve both elements. I love the table and chairs (also the placement of them ) and the neutral pallet, just because it's my taste and it looks spacious. Yes declutter and think function first. I prefer your spring design best just because I enjoy more color during the holidays in pillows etc.. A house I'm caretaking and renovating is giving me some problems because it's awkward and doesn't function well, so your declutter idea is a good idea(especially an office and craft space). And, I've learned so much from you regarding furniture placement.

      And done without a plan it creates needless waste and explodes cost to need to repurchase what you’ve just mindlessly “satisfying[ly] decluttered”. How did throwing out those doors work for you? You’re going to want to close up the accessory storage and sewing areas instead of dusting.

    Thank you -- to your channel, I learned how to declutter and purge my home. I did most of it in FEB 2021 during bad weather season here in Tulsa. Because I was home a lot, from my job. Took many trips to Goodwill, to unload what I decluttered. Most of my items, were things I kept for my 3 daughters, now all in their 30's. Took me 20 years to realize, they don't want their history, that I saved for them. So, lots went into trash and rest to Goodwill. I know, I could have sold many items, however I didn't want to wheel & deal with people, or them coming to my home. So, Goodwill, it all went and I can use as TAX deduction. Love you! Brigitte in Tulsa

      Brigitte, I gave away a house full of furniture except for two items. I gave it to people that were happy to have it, most of it went to the gardener and his wife and they were very happy to get it, and I was much happier to know where it was going. At first it was a little difficult, but in the end I just looked at it as unburdening myself. I never thought for even a moment of selling it, because making money wasn’t the point of turning lose
      of it. One thing that bothers me a bit is the fact that I’m an artist and still have several paintings that I’d hoped one of my kiddos might want, but
      they don’t. Seems they have their own ideas of what their style is, and it doesn’t include my paintings, so I’ll just have to get over it!🤗

    Peter’s Penthouse! The grandkids will be teens before you know it and they might like the grown up name ‘penthouse’ . And what a nice nod to Peter;) Beautifully done as always!!

    Am I allowed to say both? If I have to choose I guess I will go with the fall transformation. The hint of warm colors and the thick cuddly throws is like a hug! 😍

    When Rebecca said “perch” for the pouf it made me think of a cozy bird nest. And Mimi’s Nest is what I’d call that room.

    Such out of the box thinking!! So creative and elegant. I loved the simple, understated decor. It's feels so calm and restful. I would love to have those windows open in the early morning at the round table, drinking coffee, snuggled up in one of the throws. And what excellent use of storing your additional decor not in use. (I currently have a whole spare bedroom--or 2! I think i have to much stuff!) I drooled over the sewing machine set up too. Fantastic space! Blessings to you from the Great Pacific Northwest, Lakewood, Washington! 💛🖤💛

    My favorite part is how you opened the cabinetry. If you were to paint half of the wall directly behind the beds, would it look like a headboard going across the back? Like the color of your throws on the beds 🤷🏻‍♀️

      I like how you are thinking out of the box. As I visualize your idea, I’m afraid it would only emphasize the fact that the wall is so low. But… if the wall was normal height… 8’ or higher, a painted band acting as a headboard would indeed be a budget friendly option👍🏻 stay creative Khandi… it will make your life so much fun 🤗 RR

      I was thinking something similar Khandi but opposite. I love this design and was wondering how it would look to paint a neutral (couple) shades deeper on the ceiling to show off those wonderful architectural lines? Secondly, it might alert you not to pop your head against the lower part of the ceiling. I understand why Rebecca left it all one color, I just love the lines of the ceiling;) Beautiful house, blessed talent in RR👏🏻🙏🏼🌺

      @@kelle1808 Right 👍🏼 Nice architectural design. I’m sure she’d have to be very careful when adding color because it could chop the room and make it look very condensed very fast 🤷🏻‍♀️. She’s been doing this a long time and her eye for this is a lot better than mine 😁
