Freddie was dying in this. Yet he still pushed through. He was so incredibly strong. He knew this disease was killing him yet he acted as if nothing was wrong which is an incredible deed
He was also dying in Those Were The Days Of Our Lives, which was the last video he did. I noticed that this video was shot in black & white too, probably to help hide how bad Freddie was looking. And to think of how much it hurt those around him to have to slowly watch him ailing, and they couldn't do anything to stop it. Such a shame. :'(
He didn’t have to do this. He didn’t have to make a video but he did. Freddie was so strong & committed to his crafts. He didn’t let this disease get to him. One of the many reasons I love him. ❤️
I think he made two videos for this album. One for These Are These Are The Days Of Our Lives and this one. Unless he made more, I don't remember.

You are so right. That is why I don't like the new film so much. It didn't show what a brave man Freddie was. From the film you get a picture of Freddie - an arrogant man who almost destroyed the band and became humble only once he'd learnt he was ill. What a shame.
He was so dedicated he just wanted to work and make music no matter what xx such a amazing guy

And then there's Freddie : He was dying but still made music videos and wrote songs. What a strong person. It makes me sad that I wasn't born when Queen made music. R.I.P Freddie. But Legends never die.

The band said Freddie was the one in love with the penguins. They said Freddie was very sick by this point but he worried more about the penguins than his on self. Kept giving them water breaks and worried about it being too warm for them. Freddie was a huge animal lover

It would have been Freddie who’d want to do the retakes during the shoot he contributed to much of the visual concepts in Queen videos and a lot of the ideas for videos were actually down to Freddie’s input
Perfectionist til the end bless them all... watching them all together. Very much like s family but knowing and watching him literally dying before their eyes, but they did as Freddie asked. It certainly doesn't feel like 27 years ago does it?
It's weird because we have all the extra songs while he was getting weaker his voice was still there! (I mean listen to mover love. Even though he died he lives on in the spirit of his and Queens music.
I think Freddie deserves all our respect as well as the whole band. They're wonderful.

This is my favorite music video they ever did.
Watching this in color is sad in a way. It struck me hard when Freddie got down on his knees how skinny he was. The fabric of his pants hugged his thigh and it was little more than bone.
He was suffering and still worked and joked and carried on. Kept a stiff upper lip, as the Brits would say. Inspirational.
I thought similarly when he crossed his legs while standing... really skinny thighs ☹️
I noticed the weight loss in this video too. So sad. He was a great performer. He had a special gift that he shared with everyone.
I love how John and Brian are loving their penguin and then Freddie and Rodger are just having hell with their's as it shits on the couch 😂

Queen's videos are always entertaining to watch. Freddie was truly a master of his craft, kept doing the job he loved while seriously ill, knowing he didn't have much time left. He was an inspiration.
I especially like this video...brilliant!
He's still an inspiration to this day. Katy Perry and Lady Gaga have stated that Fred is a major influence in their music.

Queen are one of the tiop bands ever. This shows why. Their dedication to each other and their art shines through on what is my favourite ever Queen video!
Freddie was dying but the effort he put into this is amazing. Lots of takes with jim on his knees and doing his thing. Freddie the legend til the end. The other three ... I often wonder how they felt watching him do this? Freddie had told them about his diagnosis
and then basically forget about it and the show goes on.
They were and are simply amazing... I miss their tightly grouped family. Because we lost Freddie to his illness and John to his grief.
Their music will live on.

I think he was sadder than the rest of the band. He left it a few years later while Roger and Brian invited other singers to tour with them.
All three of surviving members of Queen were devastated when Freddie passed away....John was said to be affected the most and retired soon after Freddie's death.
All of the members went through depression after his death, they were all effected just as hard yet handled it in different ways. John left music coz it wasn’t the same without Freddie.
He was devasted apparently as he looked up to Freddie as an older brother. Freddie gave him the confidence to write songs and took him under his wing. That's the reason behind him quitting the band after he died. He was quoted as saying "there is no Queen without Freddie".

Yeah he was in great pain when they filmed this. So much pain that they had to set up a bed so he could rest in between takes. There are actually moments in this video where Brian, Roger and John are left alone. It's because Freddie went to rest a moment.

I love the Live Aid concert in '85--probably the best 20 minute set a band ever had. I also love when they returned a year later and performed for nearly two hours--an absolute masterpiece, where Freddie's voice soared and the whole band was magic. Freddie and poor Roger had to have been exhausted afterward--two hours of playing their guts out for an adoring crowd.
I also adore this video but for different reasons. The imagery is bittersweet and very purposeful, and his voice is still sublime. (and I can't get over the fact that he thinks he's a banana tree while eating a banana)
Brian is a wonderful and caring animal activist. His organization is called "Save Me", he has a Facebook page for it.
