    it's really cool to see another classic coaster getting saved from the scrap yard. especially considering how bad of a condition it was in before you can really see the Ride looks to be in very good condition now. Also the trains that are being used on the ride are the original trains from the now defunct Mindbender at Galaxyland mall.

    While part of me is gutted that you're using the trims on the run up to the drop into the third loop - which will make that insane second half a lot tamer - I can understand that decision. The way they ran it in Mexico, with no trims at all, was NUTS. Most people were once-and-done and only a handful of us die-hards went back for seconds. And thirds. And sixths. I didn't even care that I couldn't turn my head the next day and that everything in my body was sore...

      As people said it’s cold in Indiana, but also the trains are bigger, bulkier and heavier than the classic schwarzkopf trains since it’s a custom Schwarzkopf train designed for mindbender which was much larger and more intense

    @bigmuffexpress 9 месяцев назад +2

    Shame they completely neutered the second lift. It wasn't supposed to run as fast as it did in Mexico, but it's designed to go a lot faster than a normal lift hill. And I hate the trains.

    • @gopernoperstrains3160
      @gopernoperstrains3160 9 месяцев назад +1

      They have the original trains onsite and it’s a shame they didn’t use it. But it’ll likely run faster than pictured here as I’m pretty sure this is one of the first cycles. In addition, it’s November and has been rather cold lately. I imagine summer heat and more break in time will result in a much faster ride.

    • @bigmuffexpress
      @bigmuffexpress 9 месяцев назад +2

      @@gopernoperstrains3160 yeah that's very true, it's pretty cold in that part of the world at the moment from what I can gather.
      I'm glad they didn't use the old train, it was a complete frankenstein job of mismatched parts (even before it left the UK). However I feel that the OTSRs on the new trains were a terrible, terrible mistake. This is a very violent ride in places and even with just the lapbar and 5 point harness that it used to have it would absolutely wreck your shoulders.
      I distinctly remember being thrown so violently to the right after the last MCBR that I hit my head on the opposite side of the train. That's gonna be much worse with an over the shoulder restraint for sure.

      @@bigmuffexpress I should have clarified, I was hoping the original trains would be refurbished/rebuilt to factory spec. I've heard similar stories about the OTSR's on these and I hope that it doesn't degrade the experience. Regardless I'll be there to ride it when it opens and hopefully it's as good as I'm expecting

    • @babalab4486
      @babalab4486 9 месяцев назад

      @@bigmuffexpressyeah the OTSR’s suck, and it’s all galaxylands fault of it, after the mindbender accident they wanted to add the OTSRs and seatbelts for safety With the updated trains they got from Schwarzkopf, they should of just added a seatbelt and that’s it. When on mindbender with those OTSRs you got a bit of head banging but not too too much, with all American triple loop, I’m guessing a lot more head banging especially because it’s more compact and the track work is much much worse than mindbender. And also another reason probably it’s running slower is that the trains are bigger, bulkier and heavier than the classic Schwarzkopf trains.

      Construction and everything takes it time, especially with smaller theme parks that aren't a major chain like Disney or Six Flags. They need to make sure everything is built right and built safely because you can't open an incomplete ride/unsafe ride and then something bad happens.
