I think Thomas Evans is one of those guys who’s solid at most things but not amazing at anything. He’ll likely be mid pack on most events - he’s the quintessential grey man!

Evan needs to sieze this opportunity and get on the podium. Good events, decent seeding, a few high level pull outs, and he seems to be in good shape.
Shape isn't the issue it's the energy he is using up. In the past, he used to treat each day at WSM as a GL show. He needs to pace himself. Last year showed that once he paced himself, he was an absolute force. Only one mistake on the stones cost him. But we know Evan won't give in

Evan has a lot of potential, he is one of the strongest... but he needs more endurance and speed to get on the podium. I like to see him do it👍

Shaw has more WSM finals than all of the current US strongmen going to WSM - 😮woah
he had a long career and is retired now,...he has 4 WSM wins tyng him with Jon Pall Sigmarsson and Zydrunas Savickas. And he has one less than 5 time winner Marius Pudzianowski
Since 2007 for Brian actually, he didn't make the final but was in groups in '08.

Definitely a great opportunity for T-Rex. Hopefully he trains more and listens to Brian. Nobody could pace themselves better than Brian. Best of luck and a safe competition for all.
Be on the look out for Crowder. He can do very very well. He’s a contender for winning his group if he’s not in a group with Hooper or Evan Singleton as top seed. Tom would be very hard to beat but he can win against other top seeds in a favorable outcome. Will be very interested to see.
He’s not in a good spot if he’s on Stone off though.

I think Evan would be the obvious choice to shine in this WSM given the events and just what kind of person he is. His biggest obstacle is himself. If he burns himself out too quickly he won't do well and if he gets over excited/agitated and in his own head he'll be missing out on some points. Sometimes I'm concerned about his technique being a little too aggressive and earning him an injury as well. God willing, he stays more focused like last year and I think he can do well. Win it? Probably not, but he can get some good points.
Dark horse in this American group, maybe Marcus Crowder. This really doesn't look like a good year for Trey Mitchell at all and really not looking great for Team USA. But that's okay, I think it'll be an interesting, if not exciting year for Worlds just maybe not for the US. I miss Brian already.

They post official groups after all the athletes have arrived, passed medical, etc., in case there are visa or travel issues.

Evan Singleton is going to absolutely sweep his group. I see Trey getting stuck in the stoneoff, but getting through to the finals. Would love to see Rob make the final.... he's probably going to have to win his group to make that happen, but it is possible with these events. I love Bobby but I see him in the stoneoff again and we all know his track record there.
Bobby is probably my favourite American this year so I hope he makes the final. Although we all know who’s gonna be WSM 2024. 🌶️

Its run by Strongman Corp, the same people who run the Arnolds Amataurs. What's wierd is despite fact US has strong athletes they struggle consistently to sell out shows unless its a big show like Shaw
