You can also adapt the diameter of the hole to be made to the diameter of an existing cooking pot size. Less work and reasonably cheap. You can then also use a glass lid so that you can follow the cooking.
um, if you lay the keg on its side when you depressurize it, less beer goes up the tube if any at all. ill admit though, it was funnier watching you do it your way hahaha!
I have converted a keg into my primary boil kettle as well and I can comfortably boil 12 gallons of wort and have never even came close to a boil over with my first hop additions. Cheers
Lol. I was laughing when you were taking a beer shower. Next time just turn the keg on its side and relieve the pressure. This will prevent the down tube from spraying anything that is left in the keg. Cheers 💦💦💦😃
This video was worth watching just for watching the beer shower alone. LOL! Nice job!

why didn't you put the keg on its side?you would realase the pressure without being drenched with piss! :)
What brazing rods are those and where can I buy them?
Nice job. I did something similar, but I went with ss diptubes and tri clamps. Cheers
Did you use ss rod and fittings? also it looked like there wasn't any purging, did the inside get scorched?
BACK PURGE!!!
Is it 50l keg? What is maximum wort volume you can boil in this keg without splashing and boil over?

If you're going to do this a lot just buy a D coupler. Most kegs have them.

More like up-side-down. But, what a waste of perfectly good beer. Should have had a block party. Right?
maybe use a tap to depressure? lol
I wish i had a welding machine and new how to use it.

Great for cooking lobster
Why use a lid on a brew kettle? You need those vapours gone not condensed back into your wort.
It is nice to have the lid when heating the water, use less energy,
That beer you spewed is going to do nasty stuff to your patio and lawn.
What a waste of beer!
What a horrible waste of good beer. WTF?
