I love the setup! I've run a 3ft 2" copper reflux still for years on a standard keg 15gal.
super high octane. Then cut down and flavored. I've not seen anyone else with a setup similar to mine. Absolutely a great setup. the versatility in using Kegs are fantastic.
Just did a super upgrade for the thump. I put in a permanent down arm out out stainless and put amd welded a stainless threaded collar and screw my copper right into that. 4 inch clean out, 3/4 inch stainless nipple coming off the top to the side for the condenser of ur choice
Hey Phil we have come to the point in prepping that we need to secure a reliable way to continue the dream or hangover if you will. Gonna check out the site for what I believe we will need. maybe a minimalistic but efficient system is what we are looking for. GFYMB. Also package incoming in the next 2-3 weeks. it was parts of a clip from a while back i been shooting that video in bits and pieces for the last 6 months lol. the original was gonna be all parts of the still in one but got botched. What ever you need still wise ill build it right brother.

Never used a thumper so maybe this is a stupid question. What do you do when shutting down for back pressure?
nothing at all the pot is a keg and made of stainless

Question, I just built something similar and was told I should have the condenser at an angle and not vertical like this one. Any input?
Why wouldn't you go 1 inch the whole way.. or.. why wouldn't you go half inch the whole way.. does your thumper pist need to be 1"?

Looks like copper to aluminum connection is done with a clamp. Hard or impossible to weld or solder there.
Tri-clamps are used for ease of assembly, filling, and cleaning, Far better then a permanent connection.
How far off the bottom of the keg should the pipe end be? 1”?

any idea on how long or high the column should be on top of the keg
Nice! New to this. I have a 8 gal pony and a 5 gal tall keg. Any idea on the cost? My column is 18" off the 8 gl keg.
Damn I need a 15.5gal keg and a pony 8gal or 7.5 whichever. I gotta get some money, I had a seizure last saturday. I am good now, it was because of a substance I have been taking for years and finally quit! It sucked but I am free now bro!
what do you use on the cleaning run copper sill or keg still
To each there own butt I have the same set up butt I have mine in all 2 inch from the boiler to the bottom of the thumper 1 inch worn. Never the less i use a fine stainless steel brush on a pole and some vinegar. Have mine designed so I can clean it on both ends with the brush . Get creative with ur build.

We have an option by mixing some stainless and copper for an infuser we will make a video of it soon, and add it to our website.
