Foot Pedal MIDI Controller Demo
This MIDI controller was built from the foot pedals of a long-dead Wurlitzer organ and an Arduino. Although not especially complicated, this one was a fun project to tackle.

Ultrasonic Parking Sensor
Просмотров 5093 года назад
I designed and built this ultrasonic parking distance sensor for my parents garage to prevent us from pulling the car in too far. This video was created as part of an MEGR 3156 class project. The background music is "Midnight Special" by E's Jammy Jams from the RUclips audio library.
The Pen Lathe

What do you do if you want to produce a lot of ink pens but hate repetitive tasks? Build a homemade automated lathe of course. This is my second stab at CNC. It is far from perfect, but definitely a good learning experience. This lathe was designed to be as cheap as possible. It runs on an Arduino Uno with GRBL 1.1.
The Drawing Robot (Pen Plotter)

Want to make art but can't be bothered to actually practice? Behold: the drawing robot, designed and largely 3D printed by yours truly. I don't have a lot of experience with this sort of thing, so I figured that a pen plotter might be a good way to get my feet wet. Honestly, I think that it turned out pretty well for my first CNC project.
Building a 1x8 Guitar Speaker Cabinet
Просмотров 25 тыс.6 лет назад
Building a small 1x8 guitar speaker cabinet from reclaimed poplar furniture. The dimensions of the cabinet were determined by the footprint of a small tube amp that I plan to stack on top, no fancy calculations here. Special thanks to my buddy Trip for allowing me to use some of our jams as background music.

Making a boil kettle
Просмотров 90 тыс.9 лет назад
Upgrading my brew setup part 1: How I made a boil kettle out of an old beer keg. Edit 2/28/2021: I have used this thing many times, and it works well. My only gripe is that the tabs on the lid are a bit too small. If I'm not careful, it could fall inside, making for some 'interesting' astringent flavors.
DIY Dog Training Machine

This device basically uses an infrared electric eye (similar to what is at the bottom of a typical garage door) to detect when my dog is going where he shouldn't when I am out of the house. Yes, I realize that I could just wash the dishes, but what fun would that be?
If you're going to do this a lot just buy a D coupler. Most kegs have them.
How Did You DO IT, Doctor Demento!? 👉😳💥
Hello! What is the cable you used?
HAHA! Dedication right there!
Great ideas man!!
Where can you get plans for the bass control pedal exactly what Iam looking for
Great stuff. Been looking at getting some footpedals meself. Don't know what I'll connect them to yet.
Excelente!! Suena super bien! Saludos desde México!!
Now do it with hand tools.....
👍
Got your Aussie work boots on mate...lol nice haven't seen that for a while. Great content
No handle? No sound sample?
What a waste of beer!
Could a 1/2 watt diy amp with a LM386 suffice to drive the 8" speaker?
why didn't you put the keg on its side?you would realase the pressure without being drenched with piss! :)
how big a bite are you taking with that planer son?
Very nice. 1 question. Blind nuts to secure the speaker to the baffle. But the grill cloth is also directly stapled to the baffle. Are your speaker screws sized just right so they secure the speaker but don't protrude into the grill material? I'm building a 2 x 10 and love this design. Other than the baffle itself, I'm using reclaimed wood also.
Join the long list of idiots on RUclips that work in a metal/woodwork shops In there bare feet ? Immediately I see this I switch off, I’d rather watch a real craftsman at work, they have the knowledge of all the safety aspects, as well as there skill. !!
I think that I would have drank the beer
What is the cut-out hole size for an 8 inch Guitar speaker - thinking of buying a Jensen 25 Watt green and using 15x 20 x1/2 white poly cutting boards for the from and back of a Speaker cab with the Footnote Amp from Parts Express.
What a horrible waste of good beer. WTF?
This video was worth watching just for watching the beer shower alone. LOL! Nice job!
Is it possible to use the pedalboard if we enter the guitar directly here?
How much to build me one?
Very helpful! Many thanks for your work.
Nice build. I’ve been looking for a 8” guitar speaker I really like for a while. I’ve been wanting to build a small cab to run with a little 5 watt tube head but just haven’t found the right 8” speaker yet.
You can also adapt the diameter of the hole to be made to the diameter of an existing cooking pot size. Less work and reasonably cheap. You can then also use a glass lid so that you can follow the cooking.
I like that you left the X on the outside. Gives it some interesting texture.
LOL the sander and power tools are very much a part of the song. At one point the sander sounded like a horn section.
That was a pleasure to watch. I've made many over the years and never did any out of solid wood. Nice!
You can buy Bee Boxes for 25$ that already finger jointed - via Tractor supply for Harvest Lane Honey Beehive Deep Brood Box Painted and Assembled, 16-1/4 in. x 19-7/8 in. x 9-1/2 in. 3/4 inch pine
Good job . The speaker only needs 4 bolts. Open back makes a more 3 d sound!
Nice welding, wish you was in my neighborhood.
Cheers nice work we home brew beer grow hops make wine and meads , just subscribed
very realistic safety shoes dude.
With all that money you saved, now you can buy some shoes?
Awesome ! Gonna give it a go, and get a pedal board sized amp to go with it 😀
Hi noob here i just want to build a mini cab with a 4" speaker which can run on powerbank or maybe 9v. So is it possible ???
OSHA loves this video :D
Four screws for the speaker is fine. But cool little project.
Your exactly the kind of over achiever who can engineer or build anything that I snicker at when I walk my dog in the neighboorhood. Well done! Why didn't you demo it?
Beautiful more over engineered than I expected Well built sir !
maybe use a tap to depressure? lol
Did you use ss rod and fittings? also it looked like there wasn't any purging, did the inside get scorched?
BACK PURGE!!!
I will using a 2 x 4 x10 , or have a beers shower in the weekend with all my buddies.🍻🍺🍺🌧🌧🌧🍺🍺🌧🌦🌦
Good job buddy. Lucky you didn't drop any sharp items on your toes. You weren't even wearing japanese safety boots! How does it sound with a sealed back? Did you take off the back and listen to the difference? Apparently some speakers perform well with a sealed back, and others don't.
Hey i'm trying to make my own 1x8 but I don't know what size to make it. Is there a certain rule as to how big to make it? I'm not really knowledge about guitar cabs. If you could guide me in the right direction or give me the dimensions of your 1x8 please.
@@thejmancan alright. Thanks 😁. Your cab looks great btw
lol the funniest keg emptying ive seen! lay it on side next time :)
Great for cooking lobster
