The rods I drag with are medium/light Big Cat Fever trolling series. If you click their bcf rods and go to trolling. That's what I'm using in this video
Hey man, I love watching your videos. I run offshore fishing charters and can’t tell you how many times I’ve had people fallow me from on spot to another. They have followed me for entire day at times. The people who are getting too close- they just don’t know what they’re doing. I certainly understand the frustration of people.
Yeah got to love em. I've told people about my channel, they watched a video of mine while fishing. Next thing you know they're pulling up, saying they've been looking for me. I don't mind it too much. They normally say hello then go about their day. But I know what you mean. I've had people suspend by me so close I could spit on their boat. I normally say something when that's the case.
What is the action of the rods you were using in this video? The reason why I’m asking is because I want a big cat fever rod that can put up a good fight with small catfish, but I also want it to land some big catfish. Btw great video! 👍
Heavies are a little over kill honestly I have medium lights that are fully capable of pulling in big fish, but I would go with the medium heavies. Heavy action are also heavier in weight so fishing with them all day can wear your arms out. Great rods. ,you won't be disappointed.
Would be perfect. I've been looking into the mediums for bank, suspending, and anchor fishing. Soft enough tip not to alert the fish, and a good strong backbone to set the hook. Also pay attention to what oz weight you cast. If casting up to an 8oz I would get the medium heavy. If casting 4 oz then the medium action will do great. Have to keep an eye on the stock because mediums and medium heavies go quick. Also if you drift/drag baits look into the big cat fever trolling rod series. They're medium/light, and I love mine. Zakk Royce says he pulls in 80lb blues with no problem on medium/light. Hope this helps bud!
People don't have common curiosity. My husband and I were fishing, and 3 kayakers thought it was a great idea to cross our lines. It's a open lake, but let's be considerate of each other. Geesh 😫
Those were some pretty nice eating size fish. Is it safe to consume the fish from your river? My local reservoir is Belews Creek and I don't eat those. Enjoyed your video enough to subscribe 😊.
Na you don’t have issues, it’s just people don’t have any respect anymore. I’m the same way when I’m fishing. There is no reason for someone to come that close or to drive across your lines. Love the videos and Keep them coming brother because they keep me occupied while at work.
Yeah I don't get it honestly. I'm glad there's a thing called video editing. I don't think they would monetize my channel if it was all raw footage lol. Glad you enjoy the videos bud! Thanks for the support!
There's no secret honestly. Bait and location are the main thing. I like dragging because I cover a lot of water vs sitting still. But once I find some decent fish, I will run back through them. Fresh bait is key. Only frozen bait I would use is skipjack or hickory shad. So, main keys are bait, rig, and location. And lastly when dragging you're mainly getting a reaction bite.
Killin it man! Dope set up too bro
Thanks bud! I try!
Enjoyed being on board with ya brother. Had a good laugh watching that channel cat slap his head.😂
Be safe out there my friend!
Funniest thing I've ever seen a catfish do 😂 glad you enjoyed the video!
Are those heavy action rods?

@@JonBoatRiverCatsDo you think that the mediums are good for big and small catfish?

Yeah morals are diminishing in this world. No courtesy whatsoever. It's a shame really. I agree it's a big lake, need to share it.

It is safe to consume I just have a freezer full already. Glad you enjoyed the video bud! Thanks for the sub!

Dang Brandon you was on fire , great video and your right people have no respect for anyone I slow down every time I see someone fishing
Yeah friendly isn't too common between pleasure boaters and fishermen lol. Yeah they were biting good. Glad you enjoyed the video bud!
So is the “secret”;dragging during the summer?
