- Today's video is on my 1979 Datsun 280ZX. It is a beautiful car. The exterior color is white over red vinyl interior. It comes with a 5-speed manual transmission and is such a pleasure to drive.

Cleanest example of a 280zx interior ( and all around ) I had a 79 280ZX and the red interior faded . This example seemed to be kept inside .
If there was ever such a thing as motivation, I believe that I have found it. I’m gonna finish getting my ‘80 back together so I can enjoy it as you have been enjoying yours. I got mine as a project that saw many hands that gave up, but I’m gonna get it done. I’m excited for the day that I can start it up and drive it for the first time, and every time I find a video like yours, I get back to work and closer to a mechanical wonder waking up again. I have a 1979 Datsun same color with red interior hub caps on the wheels I have a factory cassette tape player that still works. It does make driving around town fun. the young people ask what kind of car is that the older people tell me that they had a car like it when they were young.

had an 82 as my first z. been a die hard ever since. currently own and love a 370z. great cars!

2:42. "Aluminum block and head" That is not correct, the block is not aluminum but iron, the head is aluminum.
I owned the ‘79 280ZX Special Edition which had the blue body with silver hood. Completely loaded including cruise control with the 5-speed. First time I ever saw cruise with a manual. Yeah… not quick acceleration, but it would effortlessly cruise at 85 mph and track with hardly a movement of the steering wheel.
