They should've put the 6-speed Automatic from the US models into these. It would've helped the 1.2 along well as the 1.4 MultiAir the 101 hp one we get in the US works great with the Toyota built automatic.
As an ex csi the fingerprint powder goes everywhere. Have to use enough to bring out an prints that are present. Also we didnt have to clean it up either although i used to clean it off if i didnt have another job on.
Would contact the previous garage and ask them to pass on your details to the previous owner who knows they may have service book etc. Did notice that there is a green mark at auxiliary belt. 👍👍
@@D5KRC I'm guessing they are scared the previous owner might find out how much car sold for at auction, which is probably more than insurance paid out Lol.
Got the makings of a good un this one Paul! lots of fiddly rather than major jobs really guess it all revolves around the "gearbox of doom!" dont it! holding my breath and hoping its fine for ya! if it is you should realise about 20% more on the price over a standard manual id say! ,now youve decided to do a rarer model any chance of you featuring a 1.4 (non-Arbarth) model in the future!. Whilst im here do you remember we communicated a lot last year regarding my "lumpy idle issues!" a la "loopy Harold" JUST thought id mention finally cured it by swapping the whole injector rail -no more stumbling and vibrations through the seat at tick over FANTASTIC!- strange that it never once put up a warning light or any fault codes in multi ecu scan i guess an injector was faulty enough to screw the idle but still within the ecu parameters so no codes! ( unbelievably the stop start system has been working for the last few days as well so maybe the injector values were what was keeping it from functioning???!. ya never know do ya!! take care till next time !
I changed the injection rail on Harold, made no difference but easy to change and definitely worth it as you can pick them up so cheap. Not sure I’ll do a non Abarth 1.4 as I don’t think there’s much of a market for them.
I followed Harolds saga all the way through! found the cross-threaded sparkplug thing well interesting ! but i dont recall you ever explaining why the next owner had to change the engine in the end?? also the fact we never found out what quick fit did in twenty minutes that seamed to cure the issue( but i guess didnt!)
@@stephenmeader8878 it wasn’t actually Harold with the cross threaded plug that was the red pop I bought off of Grant at west was then a Salvage Flippers. I believe Harold had a suspected cracked block. Me Clutch closed down so I never did find out what they did.

Seems an odd car to rob, but who knows why with these numpties. What a state. I have got the same transmission but its just as well its in neutral, cause you need the ignition to take it out of the drive position........why don't I have the secret seat compartment? 🙂
@@Love500 Ah yeah, I have got a very early one in "lounge" spec and glass roof and aircon. Even got reverse sensors that works.Doesn't bother me really 😀.
Id remove those Trade Centre plates and stickers asap. Putting it politely they dont have the best reputation for the quality of the cars they sell or preparation. It wouldn't suprise me if it was an attempted insurance job to pay off a heavily weighed finance agreement - hence the severe forensic dust everywhere.
I really want some advice. My fiat 500 intermittently won’t won’t go in gear or gets stuck in first. I noticed a small leak from the clutch reservoir. Could this be causing air to go in the clutch hydraulics ? I don’t see a leak anywhere else. Should I just change the reservoir with a second hand part or change the master cylinder completely?
Yes, without a doubt and it may be low on fluid too. If you are able to just change the bottle without changing the pipes that would be better so you don’t have to disturb the joint between master and slave piping.
Lovely car, thanks for sharing 🙂

The bottom cowling was completely covered, even in the screw holes.

Not all do. It’s a bit of a lottery. I think fewer facelifts have them probably because of the proper glovebox.

How do they steal it without the key? Is there not a chip in the key that’s needed for the immobiliser
There are various methods but the most common is a device that plugs into the obd port that makes the car think it’s the key and allows it to start.
