Can confirm, this is still the route. The Hereford street round about is open now for a right turn. Thanks heaps for the upload. It really helps calm down your nerves a bit when you have some idea about the route. I like to think of it as looking at sample questions and answers to prepare for the final test - i.e. you still need to prepare and work on good driving habits but it helps to provide some direction to your preparation. Thanks once again!
Thanks for that. Yes it is a good guide but like you said it should only be there help calm those nerves and help with preparation. Glad it worked for you.
Heya, I just wanna say thank you sm for this video. I went for my test on Thursday and passed with flying colours. Can confirm this is still the route but the speeds in certain areas have changed from 50 to 30 so just be cautious of ur speed when driving :)
@@acezblue just the standard “can you identify the hazards around you” to which I just labelled anything: the cars behind, in front, beside, pedestrians, cyclists etc. the instructor asked me I think 4 or 5 times throughout the whole test
Congrats on passing!! Can you remember if the roads were all just either 50 or 30kms or if there were any 60kms? I noticed in the video there’s hardly any speed signs but that’s what I messed up in my restricted test😅
@@laurend2967 from memory the roads are either 30 or 50. My instructor told me to look out for the speed signs and to go off of the speed of the last sign I saw eg if I see a sign that says 30km I would stay at 30km till I have passed another sign that would say something different. When I wasn’t sure I stayed at 30km and the instructor informed me that it was 50km. Sadly I don’t remember if there was any 60kms but going through the route before the test wouldn’t hurt:)
When I did my licence in Chch, I had to do a "hill start" on the raised part of a railway crossing (may have been in Waltham). Bit daft but it was 1974 and the route didn't go anywhere near the Port Hills. Three lessons and passed the test. I must have been lucky. 🤷♂️
I failed my test today due to roadworks speed limit was 30 and she said I was on 40 when I passed the sign..now a wait for next two months before i can resit.

There will always be questions asked by the testing officer which are about the hazards around at various times. Best would be to check out the NZ Road Code to find out more about how that is done or check with a driving instructor the next time you have a lesson and I do recommend having a lesson before your test (at least a month before).
Is this old footage that has been re-uploaded? The last time I was in Central Christchurch, Tuam St had become the One Way street going East, and Lichfield St had become two-way. Or has it changed back?
If there is no speed limit sign at the entrance to the street or along the street then it is the same speed limit as the main street, Stanmore Road which is 50kms but as Vogel Street is a narrower street then it might also be best to drive at a lower speed limit or drive to the conditions. This is the case in almost every street in NZ. Driving slower than the posted speed limit doesn't mean you will be penalised in the test only if it feels right for the conditions but if it doesn't feel right then 10kms or more slower than the posted speed limit and a car following you will give you a CE.
Hi there Noah's Mum. According to Google WS13 6RB is a postcode in England. If you are asking if this is driving test route in England then the answer is NO it isn't sorry.
First of all Thanks so much for your reply. Yes it’s England post code & it’s Lichfield driving test centre in lower sanford street .it’s just 20 minutes away from Sutton Coldfield test centre in Birmingham .
@@noahsmum5041 Ok. Thanks for letting me know. I should've mentioned this is a test route in Christchurch, New Zealand. Good luck to your child in their test.
Usually 50km/h but it depends on the suburb as there are 30 and 40km areas now. You should see a speed limit sign when moving into a suburb from a main road if the limit is different so keep an eye out for that and always drive to the conditions which could mean driving slower if need be.

Whatever the post sign says it is. Usually 50 but now they are changing depending on the area so it could be 40 or 30. Also thing about the conditions and situation you are in so drive to the conditions. Just because it may say 50km/h it might mean you need to drive 30 or 42.

Yes it but it may change depending on road works around the area.
