@@autogefuehl Thomas this so complete review convinced my Father to get this Q7 PHEV ! It's the best of both worlds no need to worry looking for a charging station, you get the "elctro power boost and the benefits of regular engine! Thanks again..keep up the great work!

I enjoy watching the 2 Thomas' arguing/analyzing in Thomas' head. There's always several "howevers..." They think their thoughts and it comes out of Thomas' mouth. Good review Thomas's. (Thomas, I hope your Thomas's in your head don't argue while you are trying to sleep.)
Great Review. I like the longer EV range of the GLE PHEV. And I would drive around mainly in electric and never worry about “charge anxiety” unlike in a pure EV! Interesting that you comment on preferring the petrol GLE PHEV version - I initially liked the idea of the diesel GLE PHEV version you recently reviewed. Get well soon Jonas and Best Wishes.
Get well soon, Jonas. Stay healthy.... I would prefer a PHEV because I want to drive in the city on electricity alone and also a IC engine to support my weekend long drives by not making me have range anxiety. Now that I don't own a car, but I think by the time I save and buy a car, I might as well get a full electric vehicle because of the fantastic charging infrastructure across Germany, mostly western Europe.
For those people who are confused about the Hybrid powertrain and what to do with it. Use the Normal mode and let the car manage the use of the hybrid system on the highway and in the suburbs. If you're in a hurry and you need 'get-up-and-go' use the Sport mode and when you are approaching the downtown or restricted city centers use the Electric Only mode. I'm not a fan of Hybrids but I will say this car is future proof for at least the next 5 to 7 years with all the new Low-Emission Zones coming soon.
Ich liebe eure Review's. Egal ob mit Stern oder ohne😍😂🙏🏼. Thomas, lieber den GLE350de in brilliantblau (auch als "Thomas-Blue" bekannt:) oder den neuen Q7 als PHEV? ;)
I think we will soon see a Q8 55e and 60e and possibly an A6 50e and 55e, I wonder what S models might come as PHEV to give an option to the diesels? Larger petrol Audis are scarce on their configurator the moment. For a short time, there were petrol only Q8's, A7's but they disappeared quickly, presumably to make way for the PHEV's. Stopped buying diesels a few years ago and now just waiting for Audi to get their PHEV act together or some better options (longer range, different styles) than the electric only Etron.
Lane keeping steering is for developed countries only. In Turkey, if a road is widened most old lanes are still visible and some of them lead straight into obstacles.
Hi Thomas, as usual very good report, thank you. Do you know if Audi are working on a Q8 Phev? Many rumours around, but no facts that I can find. If they have done a Q7 Phev, surely the Q8 Ohev will be easy?
Personally, I do not think that the steering wheel design and build quality is on par with the 2019 luxury standards. I expect more metallic surfaces. This also applies for the door buttons and switches.
Thank you for your video! I like them best!! When Porsche Cayenne Hybrid will get more than 30km? Mercedes makes about 100km with 350e so Audi now about 50km. When Porsche will make an Upgrade/Update?
Thank you guys again. My wife and I were considering the Q7, and was wondering about the new model. A couple questions: 1. Does it come with running boards? Being your height, it seems easy enough to get in and out, but for someone short like my parents, I would think they need a step to get in and out of. 2. Do you know if they are coming out with a full electric or even a plug in version any time soon? Thanks again.
I want to buy a 2017 3.0 TDI phev but yeah, how is that 7yr old 17,3kwh battery pack going to hold up, I don't rlly care if it lost a few kwh of charging capacity, it just needs to keep working...
It would be nice, if one opt for proper Quattro anf torque converter automatic for all Audi models (instead of the Q Ultra & DSG). 2l turbos are powerful enough for that.
I don't know which one to choose. A6 allroad or Q7‼️❓❓. 55 tfsi engines. I care more about the comfort of driving‼️ .. space and so may two cars have a lot. Suvs may be less stable during fast turns or bends, and of course the wind, which affects stability ...
I see. Best to test drive your options and see which one wins you over. I don't know if renting a car for a week is possible for, but if it is, rent your options for as long as possible. These days SUVs have become as stable as sedans and wagons due to anti G-force technology or some sort of body-balancing components. I don't know about the cars you want, but I know the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE with the E-active air suspension has no body roll at all and was ranked the number one safest SUV (in many places) on the market for a long time. You can watch videos of it having no roll on even the most sudden of turns.

The reason why the facelift version looks weird is because they are trying to integrate the new design language which doesn’t go with the original design. When they first developed the 4M Q7 plate form, they used “horizontal design”, the new front grill is “vertical” and the new lighting took the dominance away from the car. Just look at the taillight, they simply borrowed from the q5 which is way too skinny for this car. The front and the back looks like two different cars. They’ve lost direction on this facelift model which is a shame because Q7 shouldn’t look like a larger q3.
Honestly it's not enough electric range for me... It needs to exceed 100 KM on a typical day for me to be enticed. I have a (rust bucket) Ford Fusion that isn't even off its finance yet and need to stay away from American cars. Audi, Mercedes, Lexus keep their value much better for a reason.

Feel bad for the Q7, you drove so slow, watching you followed the big truck for 15 mins and every single car passed you, fell asleep, please drive better especially on the Germany cars.
With the e-tron unable to improve on 10 year old Tesla tech, we now see the Germans balls up 20 year old Japanese tech. What’s going on at Audi? I can see this might be of interest for tax reasons, but it seems very inefficient to a) have to fuel a car in 2 totally different ways; b) have a very short EV range. They need to make better full EVs.
No mate, the Touareg has alot of cheap plastics for such an expensive car and a lot of the luxuries are on the options list which is ridiculous for a VW badge 5 seater trying to compete with way better complete vehicles like X5, GLE and my favourite the Q7!
