I must say, after I stopped being a brat, I tried this project and it's adorable! What I did with the ending loop of the first heart was just finished it off as normal, cause basically when you get to that point, you're done with that heart anyway. Instead of making a magic ring, I just chained 5 and slip stitched to join in the first chain to form a ring, and carried the tail next to the ring while making the other stitches and then pulled to close the heart at the end. It's easier to just try it...now I can make them without the video or the pattern :) I made mine all the same color. One bit of advice, after chaining your first 50 chains for the strap, when you are joining with a slip stitch to the heart, make sure to go through BOTH sides of the heart to join, otherwise, that heart will be lopsided. Found that out on my first failed attempt :) Thank you for this cute project, and maybe for your next tutorials you might want to show the finished project first and ALL the steps to get there...that being said, I hope you will forgive my first comment, I was speaking out of frustration of just watching and not trying. I'm sorry.

I'd like to know what you did with the ending loop on the first heart also. Because it would unravel I would think and I would have liked to see you attach the chain and watched the process to the end. I know a little about crocheting but it would have helped to see the whole process since it's been a minute since I've crocheted. But I love the idea and it would be pretty. I'd like to see the finished product all in one video. Thanks. p.s. Beginners that have 'never crocheted' or very little would definitely need to see step by step to the very last one. Thanks for the video though.

I like how she says if anyone has any comments or questions, she'll do her best to reply--and then doesn't reply to any of them. 😂 In her defense though, she does say at the end of the tutorial that she breaks the yarn and weaves in the ends. I imagine she cut the loops in half, tied them in a knot and then wove the ends in on the wrong side of her work.

What do you do with the ending loop on the first heart? do you slip stitch the second heart into that ending loop so it doesn't unravel the first heart ?

I was extremely confused because the pattern calls for a magic ring and it didn't tell me how many stitches to start out with. I'm glad I checked out this video before I decided to look for another pattern since I can see that you just made a loop and it's not actually a MR. Haha :)

I originally made this from your first pattern on the blog before the edit. Do you still have the instructions for that? I found it a bit easier and quicker

I am looking for the crochet heart barefoot sandal I found a couple of years ago. It was starting at the top heart, and had three (half) hearts down to the toe, then toe loop and then back up to finish the hearts. I lost some patterns I'd written down, sadly. Was your original one the one I'm talking about? I see @Ashley Brown-Dudley is also asking ;)

What size and type of yarn are you using?

Joan Major looks like the yarn is worsted weight (4), like red heart super saver, i used i love this yarn from Hobby lobby & a H hook. Definitely scroll thru comments cuz Gracest2 had awesome tips that i use still. Good luck & keep hookin'!

I'm a combo visual/hands on person. It would've been nice for you to go through the every step from start to finish and not go as fast so that we could see the end product. Even better, show what the project will look like first and then list all the needed supplies then go through every step.

Lol. I knew you'd say that. I pretty much got it down but I would've liked to see the end results on the same video instead of doing more searches. I like this heart the best.

Ms1vision I have to agree with others here, it would have been SOOOO helpful to see the finished product and ALL the steps to get you to that finished product. When I click on a TUTORIAL, I'm expecting to see ALL the steps involved to get me to the finished product. I don't want to have to go to a different tut to see how to do the magic ring, go to a different vid to see what it looks like when it's done, to try figure out how to make the straps like she described...I'm a visual person as well and find it much easier to SEE how to do something rather than hear how to do it. I don't think many ppl will want to jump to ten different videos to see how to complete THIS project. Ugh...I hate when they say go to this video to see how I did this, and go to that video to see how I did this, etc. This is a probably a lovely barefoot sandal and I don't mean to sound harsh, but it is exhausting! I think I'll just go to another tutorial that has all steps involved and pics and all directions in that one video. Just Sayin.
