Skied Chamonix back in the 80's. Loved the all day run down Vallee Blanche. Hire a guide they said, we said no way, stepped out at the top and realized they were not kidding, we needed a guide. Couple tall German fellows heard our concerned conversation, said come with us we have great courage. They then pulled a large bottle of wine and introduced us to their liquid courage lol. Oh what an amazing day. Sad story from a beautiful Swiss woman we met on the way down the glacier. She said that it was her first trip back to the Vallee blanche after an avalanche on Vallee Blanche had killed her fiancée and put her in hospital for 3 months. Got to know her well, she visited me in Vancouver BC on her way to climb the 1000 ft wall in Watson Lake.
Im loving the increased use of pov in these edits, it gives me a way to connect to the feeling of shreding waist deep pow. I really wanted to see the gopro of that last shot of the backflip over a friend! :) Also I have a youtube channel and I am looking for feedback on my videos to improve my vids
I can. It was around 27th of january. In the "Préalpes vaudoises" we got around 80-100 cm of heavy powder at 1400 m, and quite a lot more on the summits. Chamonix got during that storm more or less 60 cm, and as it was the only notable storm of the winter 2014-15. I'm guessing it's the same one I skied.
