  • This was a very popular and effective method of weight loss, "Deal A Meal" brought to us by Richard Simmons, a health and weight loss icon and Guru of the period. A kind and compassionate man who understood the burden of being obese being obese himself. Listen to his heart felt explanations and his understanding of the burden of overeating. For several years this guy was a phenomenon. He is alive somewhere and lives a quiet, private life as of March 2023. May Richard Rest in Peace. May he exercise with all the angels and the saints. 7-13-24

I own the deal a meal. I've owned it ever since it came out. The problem is that through the years pieces of a got lost because my kids got into it. But it is the best weight loss plan that I've ever seen. Because it's not just weight loss it is a way of eating. It's healthy and it keeps you in control. I have tried to order this program again I was hoping that there was someone somewhere who had a box in their basement that wanted to sell it on ebay. When I used it before I lost 32 lb. And it's a sound program. And it does help you to stay in control. Richard's enthusiasm at helping everyone get to where he is is amazing Richard is an amazing person who has shared his own life with the rest of us. Thank you Richard exclamation point you've helped me in many ways in my life.

I used it and lost weight too. It was great because it made me aware of what healthy portions and an adequate diet looks like. Even though the food pyramid is outdated, the food cards can still be used in different, updated amounts. Richard did good. May he rest in peace.

A more realistic food wallet might look something like this: the kids are working your last nerve and you're depressed because that little black dress doesn't fit anymore so it's a quart of rocky road and two martinis for breakfast. Ok, three martinis. But then the job lays you off and the rent check bounces so it's a bag of potato chips and two slices of lemon meringue pie for lunch. But then you are super stressed because you discover the hubby is cheating and you put a small dent in the Mercedes. Finish the lemon meringue pie for dinner and half a bottle of merlot. Don't worry about calories at this point because you're probably getting a divorce.

A person said, there are two kinds of people, one starts their day asking, what am I going to eat today. The other kind starts their day asking, what am I going to do today. I tried both, one kept me thinking food, food all day. The second one kept me so busy doing, doing all day, 3pm suddenly realized I forgot to eat, feed children all day, forgot I was suppose to eat .

  • @pqsnet

This was actually very educational. Although i think there is way too little protein in this. I mean, muscle burn energy by just resting after workouts. So to workout, or just walk in a fast pace will burn more calories and that will need more proteins... I just wonder what happened to this serious, well spoken man. He later on just went awkward and well, hard to listen to in the hysterich appearances he made.

Breath in,now breath out. Was the exhale very low? My body hoards calories when the breath out is low. Walking helps, rxs help, mints help, (1918 flu red cross gave shot of brandy from back of wagon to line of waiting people. Caption on picture was one shot of brandy each was all they had to give them but it saved a lot of lives). One third to one half shot of brandy in cola helps me when desperate. Richard would say, ask your doctor.❤
