Doesn't stop people from commenting "I don't care, I'll buy whatever ring I like"😂 like okay girl, she never said not to but now I hope it breaks just out of spite because WHY are they so rude to my girl?? She's spreading so much good knowledge😂❤
Im a jeweler and i see more basket settings in the shop for prongwork because a lot of designers nowadays will use shittier alloys that dont hold their shape that well. Often times the rail is bowed out or pressed inward. If you are tough on your jewelry, i definitely recommend you get something in platinum and remove your rings before doing tasks that use your hands. Im also of the opinion though that jewelry is like bras and it all comes off the second im in the comfort of my own home.
I dont know anything about rings and im certainly not about to propose anytime soon, but i love this! Good advice on what makes a ring last long and stay pretty
Hey! If you don't mind me asking, what type of stone does the third ring have? (The clear stone with green veins) It looks gorgeous in my opinion! I love your videos by the way they're very informative!
I wish I inew some if this a while ago. My ring broke and now i have to get it fixed have been trying to figure out how we can reconfigure it so it doesnt break again.
Not me seeing my exact ring at the very end. Since I didn’t have a say when this was purchased (don’t get me started) are there any recommendations for how to make the most of it?
Is it okay to fit check my partner's engagement ring before I propose to her? We have the same ring size. or is there a superstition that you should not try to fit it?
I never heard of one, I personally would recommend you let them check out their ring so they like it and it fits. The proposal is still a surprise or if you don’t want to spoil the surprise get another cheap ring and take your partner ring shopping afterwards. Good luck with your engagement.
Checking the size is smart. I'd also highly recommend getting a care plan that includes free resizing. My husband bought a lifetime care plan that means I can get it resized, polished etc whenever necessary. Finger size changes a lot, both with weight gain/loss and also simply between winter and summer (heat makes your fingers swell) and during pregnancy (due to fluid retention). The polishing comes in handy especially for soft metals like gold that get scratched easily. It's pretty much a requirement for a white gold ring, because they need to be replated with rhodium every 6 months to maintain the colour. Otherwise they will start turning yellow as the rhodium fades.
What you SHOULD avoid is getting engaged in the first place! The vast majority of marriages end in divorce. Money spent on an ungrateful woman is a total waste. Keep your money and just get a dog, you'll like it much better...
That stat is cited often but it is from the 1970s when divorce first became accessible. Lots of recent studies and articles cite it but they are all talking about the initial studies in the 70s. 50 years ago!!!! Recent data from the US government shows it is closer to 35-39% in general, and they can break it down further based on how long you have been together, the number of previous marriages, and other factors that vastly impact divorce rates. And the rate has been on a steady decline since the 70s. The 50% statistic is so old and not reflective of modern trends. If you want to marry then marry, just make sure if you propose you choose a sturdy ring!!! And divorce is not a bad thing, it’s wonderful that people don’t have to stay in unhappy marriages!
I like how this advice is from a structural angle and not an aesthetic/fashion angle. Makes it valuable advice that doesn’t discount people’s taste

I think the sturdier designs are the prettiest! 😅
The monaco design is gorgeous
☺️ thank you so much!🙏🏽 it’s one of my favorites.
This is why I add in a gallery rail for four prong petals. Top view the same, just some extra support from the side that ya cant see 😌
I love that idea, besides the fact that it's sturdy, I think a gallery rail with petal prongs is SOOO SO SO pretty!!😂❤

You didn’t have any say in your ring?!
Makes perfect sense to me.
Please create a video regarding blue topaz and mystic topaz. Thank you. ❤

Or, maybe don't get hitched in six months? Do a longer courtship of 5+ years before considering marriage because we live long enough...
