I've been listening to this album endlessly. I'm a producer myself, by which I want to express how much I appreciate the production (and musical) quality of your songs. Highest grade kind of stuff. Epic album, deserves way more attention!
Koan sound will always be my favorite modern music group. There were points in this album where I uncontrollably grinned from ear to ear, parts where I cried, and parts where I literally had to pause because it felt like my soul was being violated by the beauty and energy of it all. I have never heard such a wonderful fusion of sounds. I’ve never heard something so hauntingly beautiful, jazzy, creative and masterful. The attention to detail, the absolute brilliance of this could never be put into words. Album of the century I think. I waited so long for this and I had very high expectations and you guys have exceeded every single one of them. KOAN sound is so far ahead of their time, like all truly brilliant artists. In every sense they are out of this world, beyond anything I could ever even begin to comprehend. I wonder if someday people will look back on this like a Van Gogh and wonder what kind of crazy pills we were taking that this wasn’t the most popular music of this decade.
Kian Hendrick, Not really. This music is too good compared to the music that the vast majority of people enjoy. Rap music that goes in the one ear, and out the other. Music that is cheaply syncopated with stuttering high-hats. Koan sound puts time, effort and passion into the music they make, and not for granted. Even though the music industry is full of people that listen to bad rap-music, there are people like you, me and practically every single Koan sound fan that take their time while listening to their works, treat their music with respect, and don’t treat it as background noise. I’m glad to see that many people still can appreciate good music, and even dare to say that Koans works are too good for the music industry ;)
Not Dave I’m a huge KOAN Sound/Culprate/Asa/Sorrow fan but I also love Hip-Hop/R&B just as much. There are rap and r&b artists out there who appreciate the production quality of their music just as much as you and me. Most notably JID, 6LACK, Mick Jenkins, Anna Rose, Anders. I could go on for hours. But my point is that it’s unfair for you to label an entire genre of music as trash if you’ve not even looked for gems within the genre.
Music industry prefers rap/pop songs talking about money, bitches, drugs ect. They have no idea what REAL QUALITY music is and they never will. Thats why so many real worthy artists are underrated or unknown.
@@Ball_Chat_FC i bet he means the mainstream rap shit with trap beats thats are all the same, using the same samples, synth hit hats, the music everyone can make reardless of talent.

I have always been a big fan of KOAN and ever since they released forgotten myths I have been eager to hear what they had been working on. The wait was oh so fucking worth it. Honestly one of the best albums I've heard in a long time. Cobalt - I love how it sounds so organic. The water flowing in the background, the faint party where people is taking photos in the beginning, the xylophone, everything. I can't describe this song in any other way than a jazz song without normal instruments. This song constantly evolves but it feels contained within itself. It is like talking to a person discovering it more and more. I love the climax at @ mark where the glistening synth builds up and then fades with an echo. It is such an awesome intro. Hustle Hammer - Hitting us with the KOAN "sound" but it doesn't feel old, rather it feels fresh. The hollow sound synths that echo between the ears and morph continuously keeps it interesting. I love how the hollow synth then takes the foreground and becomes the focus. Like you said, it is like there are multiple songs in one but somehow they feel contained within themselves. Cool track. Chalk it out - To be honest, this track is a bit bland. There isn't much going on and even if I tried I can't remember anything about it. I do however appreciate the genuine drums. Chilli Daddy - Megafunky! Absolutely love it but I personally have to be in the mood to listen to it. Virtual Light - All I can say is that this song sounds like what space looks like (if that makes any sense). It is just plain awesome. Veridian Dream - How they mix the fast and slow paced beats together creates a cool disjointed feeling. The slow and speedy part fight for your attention. When the deafening bass hits the speedy chirpy synths hit back with a few strikes. Then the track just forces you to stand up and dance along with its closing beat. Prism pulse - I can't remember anything of the song, but I do know that whenever I put it on I love it to death. Hydroplane - Spaceship battle kind of - with water Jongmyo - Soothing track. Very soothing. Drift - The name doesn't fit the track. It feels like a track that should be named "Pulsars" The Zulla - du di du di du du. Damn I just love this track. It is such a good closer. Picking favorites is hard but if I had to pick it'd be Cobalt and The Zulla. To me they are the culmination of all the tracks that come in between them. Thank you KOAN sound. You have made my year a heck of a lot better. The attention to detail in this album is astonishing and I can't wait to see what you guys come up with next!
