I think things like this are important. Not because a bicycle frame is a convenient friction device, or because this is practical at all, but because all the rote memorization and muscle memory in the world will fail you when THINKING will save your life. Keep that brain working. Work things out yourself and try them under safe conditions. When it is time to do or die, you'll be more capable.

: )That is Awesome! so in theory you could go mountain biking, repel down a cliff, not have to bring anything but a rope and would not have to bear any of the weight of your bicycle during The descent, is that about right?
    Again Awesome 👍

just an emergency use, if you really have to, it can be done

Fun idea, but I cannot see what you have (stripped bike, frame?) nor how you are using it. At the end, it is a strange shape, but it looks like you threaded your rope several times around the seat post, to get the needed friction. I suspect it would be more practical if you took a bight of the double line thru the triangle, and around the crank joint (like the small ring of the 'Canyon-8 Plus' mode). Then a sling hitched around the top tube or seat joint to your harness. Am I close?
When you mentioned it in your Figure-8 vid, I envisioned you bicycling down a steep slope like a Tuolumne Meadows friction climb, with the rope around you top tube (somehow) from seat to fork, up the stem to your braking hand wrapped around the handle bar so you can steer, peddle(strong shoe clips), and brake with rope & wheels, while maintaining your balance face downward, back upward. Perhaps your seat harness would have been leg-looped to your seat stem. Hmmm. 😂

wrapping the rope around the seat post part of the frame is better because there are not parts that can move, and that part of the frame is meant to take the weight of the rider along with all the forces associated with jumps, bumps, shocks, etc
