i was really hoping to find something like a mild review thank you. I was in strong debate with myself over if i should watch or not but i really feel like ill have the same fate as yours.

Red head never rigged the test scores, she passed first because she was the best. young girl fell into water in the middle of the ocean in complete turmoil (that's hard to stay afloat even for someone who knows how to swim) and don't know how to swim so she couldn't swim, duh. that's not what they apologized for, they apologized for doing things like undressing her (which was to save her, yes) without her permission. She's pretty much a demi god for her peoples, since she's from the emperor's bloodline. Emperors in that empire are acknoledged as rulers by the seirei, which are revered as the envoy and messagers of God. Which de facto for civilians in that Empire means that the Emperor and his bloodline are ruling while being mandated by God. You don't touch those peoples casually. Apologizing was the right thing to do. And the little girl was smart to understand that it was done to save her so no reason to be angry about those things, too. She's from an emperor bloodline. some Nobles lineages had a tendency of having extremely long name, even without being emperor. Take for example the real life french noble that was taken as a naming inspiration for one of the main character of Zero no Tsukaima. Real life's name of that person was "Françoise Louise de La Baume Le Blanc", "Duchess of La Vallière". Just a noble, so long already. Why are you surprised, don't you know history. Especially, the place they live in is based on India. Some Indian name can go veeery long. So once again, it's natural. "protecting just because she is a princess". Yeees, as a soldier, let's not protect someone pretty close of the head of the state, and let's have your whole team being executed after coming back home for failing to protect her, too. Also, for most soldiers who are believing in God in this country, let's not protect the child of someone that is ruling your country with your God's acknowledgement. What are you, 8 years old?

You really should give it a try, if you watched and liked Code Geass. The protagonist is a mix of Lelouch and Shikamaru. You will not be disappointed
