Nah. AMS didn’t set this up very well. This guy did a piece for Sweetwater on the ONE+. He’s a beat maker AND he knows what he’s selling inside and out.
Does the same thing the X does Stop the B/S Just a Sales Pitch....smh just more memory and some plugins which can all be purchased to put in the X
Bought one brand new and after downloading like 10 different bloatwares I found out that it had a “no audio driver detected” error which is basically bricked… sent it back, never spending money on anything Akai again👎
certainly not defending it, but just to clarify, I had that too (literally just fixed it) & fortunately it's just a loose wire - again, not defending it shipping like that, not cool at all BUT thankfully it's a super easy fix! For anyone who cares to know or is having that issue: unscrew the bottom plate, *carefully* lift the bottom (being mindful to not hurt ribbon cables - also push it back a little to give it room to lift) & personally mine was just an unplugged white-clip wire at the back right (from where you'd be looking - have the SD front end facing you). Take that little wire & plug it into the top empty white clip/box thingy above it (my buttons wouldn't even work, it was like a main connector lol) & poof!
I love mine, honestly. Totally understand the sentiment though, I was panicking at first. There's a good video on how to access the bottom btw, good for a frame of reference on where things should be plugged in (it's a video installing 3rd party bigger pads).
Cannot stress enough though, I'm not trying to invalidate your feelings there at all, for a $2500 flagship product these should be absolutely flawless upon arrival. I had issues with the One when it first dropped (returned it immediately) so fr I'm not just being a fanboy - but I great luck with the Live 2 Retro, which tbf I've read issues there too, but hey they're mass produced, the internet is known to congregate negative feedback & it's bound to happen - same issue IIRC, they need to tighten that up fr - but yeah my Live 2 was fine thankfully. They need better quality control though, to illustrate your sentiment here: this conversation shouldn't even be happening.
Sorry for the novel btw, I just spent some hours figuring out how to approach resolving my issue & figure I may be able to save someone else a lot of headache as it's actually a relatively easy fix!
