I'm surprised that it says "why can't you live peacefully at home" since in the last 20+ years we've never gone to war unprovoked, I'm both surprised and not surprised that they say "democracy" in a mocking tone considering their track record of democracy. If you don't want to than here's an abridged version: about 500 Russian backed syrians and Wagner troops were going to try to take an oil refinery (or extraction machine I forget which) from American backed syrians and 30 American special forces; four hours later at least half of the attacking force lost, all but one of the 27 Russian vehicles destroyed, and the Russian backed forces surrendered, and America didn't just open fire, they called to ask and make sure that the approaching force wasn't Russian and if they were to turn around, at least 3 times before the battle started and a few more times during the battle. The American backed side only suffered a single casualty: a Syrian soldier who wasn't even shot, and if I remember correctly injury resulted from tripping.

Although I don't think we should be like Japan in the Edo period, I recognize the necessity of some kind of actions in international affairs are important. But in my opinion I think that a country's primary focus should be their people rather than people overseas, and we've become more focus on the latter rather than the former. Perhaps *a* solution lies in international communities like the UN or NATO, get a whole bunch of countries to work together to deal with a certain issue instead of a single country acting on their own. I know it would be unreasonable to say a country should not interact with others, there still needs to be room for that. But for the most part I _feel_ like international affairs should be less of a national concern and more of an international concern.

The American backed side only suffered a single casualty: a Syrian soldier who wasn't even shot, and if I remember correctly injury resulted from tripping.

But in my opinion I think that a country's primary focus should be their people rather than people overseas, and we've become more focus on the latter rather than the former. Perhaps *a* solution lies in international communities like the UN or NATO, get a whole bunch of countries to work together to deal with a certain issue instead of a single country acting on their own. I know it would be unreasonable to say a country should not interact with others, there still needs to be room for that.
But for the most part I _feel_ like international affairs should be less of a national concern and more of an international concern.
