- Join me as I head to Familypark Neusiedlersee in Austria for my first ever visit! In this vlog I explore everything that this beautifully themed family theme park has to offer, along with sharing on ride POV's from across the park. Familypark opened in 1968 and features a fantastic variety of roller coasters, water rides and flat rides, all located within awesome themed areas!

This looks like a lovely park. I’ve just realised that a Gerstlauer bobsled would be great as an indoor coaster for Drayton manor using the spare pirate show building.

Your Chanel is absolutely awesome. I loved all this stuff when I was a teenager and probably up to your age. But I kind of lost touch with it with work commitments, getting married moving abroad and things. Anyway, I seriously broke my leg a few weeks ago and RUclips became my friend, your channel has brought back some real memories for me and I just can’t wait to get out to some of these places with my sons. I visited Familypark in 2018 and it really surprised me! It’s just like the Tripsdrill of Austria 😆 It’s so well themed, packed with animatronics and it’s nice to see they are still investing in the park!

You have ridden over a thousand different roller coasters, yet you still get super excited when you see a small ride where you can ride in a fox.

Finally someone noticed my wonderful homepark!!!!!!! Its a shame you didnt get to do Rattenmühle :[ its a really fun ride!! I hope you will be back at some point tho to experience the new intamin flume and rattenmühle

When I met you I should of asked for the gerst skyfly secret to spinning lol, the video was funny to me for some reason because of the spinning made me dizzy and I am just watching lol. It is always a pleasure to watch and I am really excited to try some european parks eventually!

In a couple of months I'm going to a little family park (started as a "Wild park" with a playground) in Germany where I used to go as a kid. They added a family coaster and it will be the first time in more than 15 years to be in a theme park with a coaster for me. Haven't been able to go to theme parks due to health and everything related so I'm really excited for it, even if it's only one small coaster.

It reminds me of Efteling a bit with all the fairtytales.
I noticed, the water around the park, especially on the crocodile flume seemed very blue. Is it just me or do they dye the water? If so, it's a really nice touch, makes the flume look so much more inviting than the ones that have the nasty brown water.
Think I need to be sick now after watching you on that second ride 😂😂

I think the little drop is gonna be a backwards one going out to that vertical lift on the log flume. Kinda makes sense when you look at how the drop is right above the trough at the bottom. Looks like a nice park though.

40:47 I probably won't be taking my friend to this park, but it looks interesting. He has phobias on singing and talking trees, along with inanimate objects. There is an indoor amusement park dark ride in South Korea filled with inanimate objects I can't take him on because of his phobias, even though we are adults.
this might sound really strange but at 37:04 the animatronic gave me so great nostalgia to my childhood visiting 'Sundown Adventureland'. Its there Austrian cousin 😅

39:54 So not dissimilar to Efteling. Although Europa Park was built as a ride showcase, I wouldn't be surprised if Machenwald is one of the older areas there too

Hey Shaun you did about 58 inversion.
You need to get Charlotte on that water ride.
Shame about the bob as it's the most unique layout of all the gerstlauer bobs I have seen. Not necessarily thrilling, but it forgoes the straight drop section at the end, only seems to have one hairpin turn and is very twisty. I guess more like Van Helsing than the others.
It’s a shame however I’ll definitely be back in the future to ride it!
Since Familypark is a theme park and have worked with Mack before, maybe a suspended dark ride like Arthur might make more sense than a Vekoma, although Gerstlauer might be up to something with the Slagharen concepts so maybe they should not be ruled out anymore
That would be a great installation for them!
