It was 50 years ago that we embarked on this journey

These 50 years have seen a paradigm shift in which technology has become an essential part of our lives, opening doors to new horizons that are yet to be explored.
The UPC has been a champion and supporter of this progress in a clear and remarkable way. More than 150,000 students, dreamers and trailblazers who are now professionals in the fields of engineering, architecture, science and technology, have graduated from our schools.
Research is part of everyday life on our campuses. Because the impulse to investigate to change the world is in our DNA. And all of this is possible because the UPC’s teaching model always orbits around the same centre: students, the real protagonists of this story.
Yes, it has been the most courageous, inspiring, productive and exciting 50 years for knowledge and research. And we can only think of something even more exciting and inspiring: the knowledge that we are ready and prepared to start walking towards everything the next 50 years will bring us.
