We headed over to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to fish with our friend Jamy and Olga of High Tides charters. They own an all inclusive fishing lodge. We spent a few days fishing offshore for big mahi-mahi, sailfish, cubera snapper and marlin!

Wow that's a big Dorado ! I fished Loredo Mexico for a week back in the 1980s, 1000 miles from LAX in Cali. to the East Coast Sea of Cortex and I caught a 48" Mahi and when the skipper hung it on the photo rack on shore it almost touched the sand ! It brought me to my knees 4 times to get it in the Ponga boat ! Thanks for the memories ! Great show ! G

Great Video! We just came back home to the lower Keys from the Cancun area celebrating our 20 year anniversary and it was beautiful over there! The people are amazing and so friendly! Hey don’t take one day with your women for granted. My wife was just diagnosed with breast cancer when we got home but we are gonna get through it one day at a time. I told y'all a while back that you guys would be back . Gotta go bout 1 week before Christmas in downtown Puerto Vallarta but the ocean an look at the Christmas trees . So much love there. !!! Kids from churches an schools walk for mile to decorate the trees with their own handmade ornaments. Hit home for me y'all. Love loved the vid!

I was watching your video and reading "Sport fishing top 50" When you said cubera snapper at minute 17:16, I had just scrolled to number 43 cubera snapper and my eyes read it when you said, cubera snapper. I call this kind of thing in my life synchronicity. It happens often.

Learn about your choice of foods that are good/bad for you while you're still young so you can continue to be there for those you love!

I was at puerto Vallarta during hurricane Lydia and we went fishing the day after the hurricane and caught 10 8lbs mahi mahi

You see I lost my younger brother when he was only 36 years old and that same weekend my mother had a anurisom and went into a coma for 5 years before she passed away and I lost my father afew years ago from cognitive heart failure and lost my older brother in at the end of August this year,so now you know why I feel so strong about you evolving your mom and younger brother into your videos. In the early 90's my wife & I flew back from the Keys carrying a few lbs. Of Mahi on the plane in an ice filled styrofoam cooler. Those were the days.
Nice great vid , I lost a monster mahi simlar to what happened to you but I forgot to free spool and it cut me off on boat hull - the real big ones don’t jump and dive deep as you said

Prior to you being alive, the average dolphin in Florida was much bigger than today.
The main reason Florida doesn’t see the large fish on a regular anymore is the Chinese longline fleet based out of Cuba.
There are longlines specifically designed for upper water pelagic fish.
The Chinese fleet out of the Caribbean side of Panama also do a number on them.
Any fish thrown back in the US waters is just more fish for the Chinese fleet.
Since all family said its good I have to say from here Saudi Arabia it is good 👍😋👌👏👏👏👍
I think the reason that fish get bigger in the pacific right of the cast is depth, it drops so fast so much without having to go far.

The difference between a big Bull 30 to 60 pounders and the teeners we usually catch are night and day. And Vic yes we do catch big Bulls and Cows in Florida but in the Keys

Love your videos and your recipes, this recipe looks great. Will it work with other types of fish like snapper (Mingo, red or mangrove) or grouper? We get Mahi here in the panhandle; however, they are small and few and far in-between. You have to go out pretty far to get any big bulls. Also, does it have to go on the grill? Snapper and grouper don't grill well, the fillets tend to fall apart.
